Woke up to my WoW having been crashed, so i try to login but my PW is changed, so now I'm thinking shit I'm banned. I reset my PW and try to login, what do you know, all my character's are gone except for 2. They are stripped and all the gold is gone. Just like someone posted before, there was a ticket already submitted trying to get the stuff back. SOOOOOOO gay i wanted to level in AV! Hopefully they can restore everything and know i got hacked by looking at IP differences. *EDIT* i haven't entered my account info into any website, i haven't downloaded anything except stuff from the Buddy website = ( I dunno how they got in.
they always find a way in, start using a authenticator already. edit: most of the time they won't restore 100% of the gold. + enchants etc.

On of my Accounts was hacked a few weeks ago... I did a request to restore everything, I got most of my Items back...:/ But not everything. But hey i got a bonus gold cause they can't restore everything Not much but hey gold is gold
how do people get hacked though? ;/ irl 'friends' guessing easy passwords? or actual hardcore russian mafia hackers spending all weekend doing lines across a hookers tits while they HACK your wow account like a bawss?
I suppose this forum was hacked or some kind of that thing. I have one account that has the same email and pwd as my account here. (It's only a mule acc so i didn't care). This account was hacked 5 days ago...they took 1000 Gold but there was nothing else. I had never entered the info anwhere...except the creation of the account anfd logging in 2 times. None of my other 10 accounts was hacked. The email is only used for this forum and the mule...nothing else...the pwd is used for another forum too but if have another email there. I'm not really sure if they hacked the forum and i don't want to accuse anyone but I can't imagine another way...can't be a keylogger as all my other accounts are clean. Did you use same pwd and email on the forum as in wow?
Yeah my accnt is registered under same email/pw as wow accnt. This is not the case anymore though = )
Friends of mine had there accounts hacked a few weeks, back got all there stuff back from blizzard having spoken with Blizzard support it looked like their email accounts were hacked and wow password reset, its always been the prob having email as user name leaves only one thing to really hack password personaly i think most hacks are gained by gaining access to your email and doing a password reset some things to think about Keep an email address just for wow never do any dealings with regards wow ie gold trades game time keys etc Never keep passwords stored in Browsers. Change your password now and again Use different passwords and user names for forums and any other internet type sites just some thoughts
I never got hacked in wow but I think it's kinda luck though. It can hit everyone just by drive by download and stuff. However I often thought about an authenticator but in case of a ban I would have no chance of a unban since a hack were impossible
Best thing you can do is get a scanner like AVG and monitor your computer. Last Keylogger I found was in a wow addon file.
