silente; need some info from you (if you don't feel comfortable divulging it publicly, feel free to PM me) What country are you in? Your current ISP? Please open up cmd prompt and run the following; tracert hb.buddyauth.com Either SS, or copy the output. (This will show us the hops to the server, if anything seems odd at any point, we'll know about it.)
I'm having the same problem as far as the bot not authenticating. I try to login to the auth page and when I do it says "AUTH BAD". Some assistance would be appreciated.
I hope someone can finally fix this Authentication FAIL problem... Bought this and couldn't use it...
I dunno what's going on with these guys as this is getting ridiculous. If this wasn't such a niche market and you had direct competitors they wouldnt keep people long the way things are going so far days without success and unanswered PM's. Someone finally asked me to send them trace-rt. Well see how long that takes from here.
Most of the issue is because we're under a constant DDoS attack. (For nearly 2 months straight now) Some traffic is dropped as a side-effect of trying to mitigate it.
That explains alot so what do we do to remedy this? I'd really like to get the ball rolling so I can use the product
As a first step; try closing down your firewalls and antivirus software, and try to run HB. I know some AVs are overly anal about blocking the traffic. (Kaspersky, and Norton being the 2 biggest pains in the ass) If you still can't log in, then I'll have to figure something else out. If you can reach the site via normal HTTP traffic; then it's definitely something blocking traffic elsewhere. (And not our severs, as they are running fine)
Ok ... I tried HB my XP computer with the same connection and its working... But its not working on my laptop with Windows 7 x64... something is going there... [Edit:] On my XP I have a firewall and I dont have any fire wall, anti-virus on my laptop and its not working.. so the connection is blocked somewhere i dont know...
I use Avast Internet Suite I disabled shields and tried HB Program : "Authenticating..Could not connect to the authentication server. It may be too busy to process your request. Please wait a few minutes and try again! Authentication failed." Buddyshop.biz : "The username or password you have provided does not match our records. " hb.buddyauth.com : "AUTH BAD" I use OpenDNS were starting to trouble shoot lets please get this going i tired to access buddyshop through a online proxy i found via google and the same things happens.
"AUTH BAD" means you're using an incorrect user/pass. Please completely shut down your firewall. And turn off the Windows Firewall as well. Edit: Your forum login details may not be the same as your shop login. Make sure you use your shop login details.
Well i guess ill try a reformat of my laptop... Ill tell you if its worked or not... (damn i really not want to format lol )
I wouldnt man The link you followed has either expired, or been malformed by your email reader. If you suspect that it did not copy correctly from your email reader, please paste the entire link from your email reader to the address bar in your browser. Otherwise, you can restart your password reset request by clicking the link below: Is all it says when i use the reset feature and follow the link from my email it gives that error but it did change the password
Sorry Will fix it for next time. The password reset feature kept giving an error that it couldn't change the password because the link from the email had expired even though it was within seconds of being used. But after a few attempts of getting this error i tried it anyway. Even though you get that error the system still changes your password for you. I was able to login fine after that
