1)Were you using Honorbuddy, Gatherbuddy or both on the account? I used mostly Gatherbuddy. 2)Which version (and Beta or Release)?: Release 3)If so, when was the last time?: I used it today. 4)What profile were you using?: I was using [GB2][H+M][Mail+Repair] Vally of the Four Winds -- Ghost Iron Ore, Trillium, Golden Lotus + Herb 5)What combat class were you using? if None Just put Default then the Classname: Protection Warrior 6)What plugins are you using?: AvoidPlayers, MrItemRemover2, PlayerReportsDetector, ShutUpAIML 7)How many hours per day did you bot for?: I often set profiles to run for 8-10 hours. 8)What honest percentage of time did you supervise your bot? Less than 10% 9)How many auctions per day did you have?: I usually mailed the farm mats randomly to different toons on multiple accounts every day and then traded them and remailed them before auctioning. I probably averaged 150-300 auctions per day. 10)Did you Use Any Other Bots, Hacks, or Mods? Nope. 11)Was your account involved in gold selling? No. 12)EU or US realm? US. 13)Is the banned account a Scroll of Resurrection or an actual paid account? Paid account. I have an appeal pending and this was my first ban of any type in over 5 years. I've had 2 full paid accounts for about 8 years, so I'm pretty sure I should get this back with a 72 hour ban (hopefully). I realize I was basically asking for a ban and am not that surprised this happened. I did review my logs and never saw any sign of GM activity or getting flagged by other players, but I guess these days it doesn't take much to get caught. I am a bit concerned that my other account might get banned too, as I did launder the money with that account - but never actually botted with it. We'll see.
Well, looks like I'm totally screwed. Got this reply just now: Greetings, Thank you for your continued correspondence. After an additional thorough review of the action taken against this account, we regret to inform you that we have arrived at the same conclusion and the account action will not be removed under any circumstances. While we understand that you may have concerns regarding the nature or application of the policies related to this account action, we must reiterate that it is the result of a breach of the Terms of Use (Blizzard Entertainment:World of Warcraft Terms of Use), which all players accept before accessing the game environment. As this issue has been reviewed by multiple representatives, it is now considered closed. Should you have any questions regarding a different account or issue, please feel free to contact us again. However, further inquiries regarding this issue will no longer receive a reply. Regards, Blizzard Entertainment https://battle.net/support I am honestly pretty shocked that they'd not push this back to a 72 hour ban. I really have never botted before and this account has been a paid one since 2005. I guess you play with fire and you get burned, but still pisses me off.
Just because you havent been banned ever before doesnt mean you wont get banned. A guy on my realm had his account since Vanilla was in Beta, and played it non stop since then. He got banned for botting and he didn't even bot, he just rubbed a few too many people the wrong way by following botters and telling them he was gonna report them. So they ganged up and all reported him for botting and he got banned, appeal failed. Not condoning what he did at all.....just pisses me off when people say shit in ban reports here like "I've had 2 full paid accounts for about 8 years, so I'm pretty sure I should get this back with a 72 hour ban (hopefully)." and "I am honestly pretty shocked that they'd not push this back to a 72 hour ban."
I wasn't saying that having paid accounts that long is a get out of jail free card - I just am saying it is a good reason for blizzard to give me another chance since they have good evidence I will keep giving them my money. But what's done is done. Oh well.
Or, they can get more money by banning you. Sadly, that's how it is. I swear GMs get liek a $5 bonus for every bot they successfully ban. I hope your appeal goes well, sorry if i sounded terse earlier. <3
if you realy can not get your account and you can try to refund your game time .if you have couple month game time in account
I usually mailed the farm mats randomly to different toons on multiple accounts every day and then traded them and remailed them before auctioning. I probably averaged 150-300 auctions per day. your account is killed by averaged 150-300 auctions per day
do you have any stop for 8-10 hours botting ? just like boting 3 hours then stop 2 hours and then do another botting ?
i dont get it how you guys all can get a 72hour ban while im apealing sometimes for my account i got nothing but perma lol but now i have one account what i use with tyrael only in rbg arena that seems to be fine i think they know the pattern of automate
Well, just a not surprising update that my appeal attempts have most likely completely failed. I knew that from the first one that said they reviewed it thoroughly and won't change their decision, but I tried several more appeal tickets and finally got someone to actually write a fairly personal response. This time he brought up a 24 hour ban for BG botting I had in 2008. Yep, 6 years ago. And I had been using the angle that a friend got on my account without my permission and he more or less said I should get better friends and that was my problem not theirs. The key point here is that he said "the account was brought to their attention in the last few days" - which I take to mean I got reported. Again, no big surprise.
Ok, I can't believe it but I got my account reinstated. I had one final idea after all the appeals I filed via the normal ban appeal tickets process. I started a ticket for account management issue and description of "refund" - that's all I wrote. I went on live chat with that and then explained how I had 4+ months of game time already paid for that I wanted a refund (and I know they would say no and don't have to refund anything, but I wanted to just get a conversation going). Anyway, the CSR says she can ask for "one more action review" on my account if I would like her to do that. I said, of course I would. Anyway, 5 minutes later she comes back and says "So I have fantastic news....". Btw, I had also told her previously that I wanted a refund for my pre-ordered WoD copies (2 total for $100), which they *DO* have to refund since it hasn't been released yet. Well, I'm not sure if that's what did the trick, but I had my account back and active while the chat was still live - no 72 hour ban or anything. I'm still pretty amazed that worked.
Goes to show they will bann you when the xpac comes and that is not that far away so you may want to clean up your act and stop botting You managed to get away with it so far next time you will not get away with it at all And no they do not have to refund shit at all I think your just lucky really this time around nothing else Come xpac and your botting you will lose it all
wel i have one account stil where i use hb for arena botting and rbg my healer and that one doesend get banned they are hitting hard on questbotters dungeonbotting etc because ye its a new xpack coming they need money so i wont get anything til the new xpack i wil get 5 new farmers for dungeons again to try
I had a similar case to yours a while back. Basically my account was perma banned initially because of " Terms of Use Violation -- Exploitative Activity: Abuse of the Economy" but since they could not explain to me what that was in order to safeguard their process I kept pushing and even though the GM kept closing my tickets I kept opening new ones till I was satisfied with the answer. It was my 3rd/4th email that one of the GM told me that "Your account was permanently suspended due to use of third party programs, which is against the Terms of Use" which was the first time I had ever heard of it and was never using that and believe me I did not have honorbuddy or any other program then. Now that I know what they were really thinking I argued that the reason for closing my account was wrong and the whole process was not sound and there were mistakes from a GM somewhere. Anyway long story short I was given this email CSFeedbackEU@blizzard.com to appeal which are the only people that can overturn a GM ban. Below is a cut from the email I received and I am glad to inform that I got my account back and I had to prove who I was during the process which meant providing an ID. Good luck and dont give up if the account is important to you and you feel you want to spend the time arguing the case. SORRY I did not see your previous post about your account being reinstated . I am glad all worked out well.
