The bot isn't perfect, but a lot of the issues with invasion are from the game itself. Invasion is designed in such a way that even with a perfect bot, you'd still die (if you never chickened). The only way to not die, is to play extremely safe, avoid all possible dangerous situations, and bail out as soon as you detect a new invasion boss, as any desync or client stutters could result in your death. In other words, you're spending more time not playing than actually playing.

I must ask, have you played a legit character in Invasion through Merciless yet? This game is nothing like D3 (if you've ever tried it or botted it), it's actually hard and there's a lot of frustrating mechanics, most of which the bot doesn't handle, because it's a new league, and well, it's a grind bot. We know there's things that can be better, but there's only so much that can be done when the game works like the way this one does. There's a reason why when the bot was updated for SoTV I posted this to the main thread:
A lot of people have been able to bot Invasion successfully, but they have a good understanding of the game and know how to make the most out of the bot. Botting low levels isn't really recommenced because the bot is a grind bot, not a "click one button to get to cap" type of bot. If you had a lot of low level uniques and a build that could face tank most things, then you'd be fine for the most part.

I just made a new character to test, and this is what I came across at the very end of The Coast. There's no way the bot could survive that battle in noobie gear at level 2, but it did chicken as it was supposed to just fine, so I lived. You might want to uncheck chicken to character selection so it goes to login instead.

Anyways, Invasion is an extremely challenging league to play. Botting it, even more so. You'd need really custom tailored CR logic for your build to handle all the random stuff that can happen. Better CRs and bot logic is being worked on, but if you look at the way Invasion was designed, then read the official forums, there's really not that much we can do to make a generic bot work better in it, short of making a custom tailored "Invasion League" bot. Since it's only a 4 month league, and GGG is realizing they need to tone down a lot of the stuff, I can't say it's really worth not improving our generic bot rather than trying to make tailored bots for each new league.

That is something users can do with our API, which right now, is getting major revamps to make it easier for people to write the type of bots they want rather than relying on the generic default bot we are currently providing.

I would just like to back up Exilebuddy.
Pushedx has already written a good explanation, but would like to add an extra + from a user.

I'm currently 90+ Invasion Leauge, using the bot both farming normal content and maps lvl 75+
Running Chicken at around 60%+, Yes I do encounter Invaders that nearly oneshots me, but otherwise the bot takes care of everything perfectly.

But can see how the bot will have trouble levelling from scratch, since many Invaders lowlevel can't be facetanked no matter the gear.
You could run a Plugin that disconnects every time you meet those Invaders, but then you might as well level up yourself, since it will take forever to progress for the bot.

Personally I would suggest you level up to Normal - Fellshire by hand.
Then you can have the bot running around there with Chicken set to 60-X% depending on your Max HP + having a AvoidBaddie plugin running.
But generally you want to find zones like Fellshire where the bot can run around without encountering the Invader, so Ledge is not a good bot leveling place.

I don't play standard or ambush, so unless those leagues has something just 50% as powerful as an Invader, I can't see you die in those league with the bot. (gear +/-)

Keep up the good work with the bot and.... -I'm the incredible Nightcrawler!

Haha, Duchess..... such an annoying invader. I'm currently working my way through cruel fighting about 50% of the invaders with a super tanky melee build set up to facetank everything. It's entirely possible to bot invasion, it just requires you to know what you're up against and work the bot around your current limitations.

Yes, it is entirely possible, with the correct build. It's all about tailoring your character to be able to face-tank everything in the zone you're farming. This takes some trial and error but it's possible since only a select number of the invader bosses spawn in a certain area. As pushedx says you need a lot of knowledge of the game and it really helps if you've played Invasion extensively beforehand.

Actually, after the invader nerfs you don't even need the avoidbaddies script to stay alive anymore, which is a huge buff in efficiency. The invader nerf was a huge change. The script is still useful for a couple of the rogue exiles, however.

You should play to a high level in Invasion to get used to it and get some funding, and then make a marauder and twink it out with gear that gives large amounts of +life.

If at first you don't succeed, blame the bot. I love playing that game *end sarcasm*
