Hi all, Well basically i have 2 wow accounts and have GB/HB lifetime ive decided i want to start farming gold for my personal use rather then selling at would like to get 50000 Gold do you think this is possable. Well i know it possable but how long should this take really and what profession should i take and how should i sell AH or vendor? basically i am very new at playing the gold game Any advice will help even tips on what i should do. Thanks for your time chaps
50k gold won't take you that long. Get gathering some herbs and ores. If you have alchemy or jewelcrafting, you can use these with the gathering professions to produce something to sell on the auction house, if not, just sell the herbs there and smelt the saronite ore into bars and vendor them. With two bots gathering, I expect you could make the 50k within a week maybe, two at the most.
I believe a simple version of what you are asking is "how long does it take some of you users to get 50,000 gold?", which I would also now like to know. I mostly used HB to focus on leveling, but how long would that take some of you on 1 HB account without GB? I am slowly transitioning from leveling to farming. I'm not sure what to expect for goals. Note I currently have no expansions so I have a level 60 farmer.
Thanks MrB still very noobish with gold farming i dont have any making professions just farming ones ie herbalism and mining
That'll be fine. I'd create a bank alt for auctioning. Park him in an Auction House and mail stuff to him (or use a guild bank if you create one) Saves the mains trekking back and forth from Dalaran just to sell things.
Right now is a tough time to get started on gold making, especially without various crafting professions. Your best bet is to farm and save everything for cata. Currently I am using all of my farmed herbs (and even buying herbs from another botter) to craft glyphs and inks to stockpile, using up four bank tabs on ink and a character with 11 scribe bags to hold the glyphs. I also have two bank tabs of Saronite Ore and one tab of Saronite Bars waiting to be sold later. when Cataclysm hits, everyone will have new alts so demand is going to go way up, but supply is dropping as people leave northrend. Also, many alts will be leaving northrend at 76-78 for the new zones, so icecrown and storm peaks will see little activity. Saronite will be in great demand from alchemists, who can boost from 395 to 430 by transmuting 8 saronite to titanium, skipping most of northrend alchemy. Blacksmiths will need saronite bars for the last push from 400-425, and Jewelcrafters will want saronite and cobalt ore to prospect green gems from. in short: stockpile as much saronite as you can, do not vendor ANY of it. if you have the money, get guild banks rolling (i have two with six tabs and a third with three), or just juggle everything in mailboxes (you can store unlimited amounts in the mail, but its a hassle to manage). use excess stuff to level your own professions in prep for cata. If you have gold now and want to be proactive, start buying whatever you can from the AH that is going to be needed for new alts to level professions on. Rugged Leather, Runecloth/Netherweave, Thorium and Mithril, midrange and high herbs like Fadeleaf/Mountain Silversage, all of it is going to go up in value so buy it cheap now and resell for profit in a month.
I make around 3-5k a day doing minimal stuff (farming with 1 char, selling everything on AH) - so you should be good.
I thought I'd quickly throw my two cents in. I've never used GB and have only just started using HB, I moved over from another bot which was far more buggy. The gathering version with flying mount would only gather around 3-4k of gold per day per character which equates to 21-28k per week. I have no idea what GB is like for gathering though I hope it's about the same or better. Quick note: Don't ask which bot, I'll not mention it on here out of respect for the developers. It's barely worth the money anyway.
See, this scenario personally makes me a bit nervous. For right or wrong, I normally tend to farm for 8-12 hours one day, and then slowly sell that stuff off on the AH. Perhaps I should change up my method, because Ski if this is working for you, and you haven't caught a ban, then it might be a good way to go. How long do you spend farming per day, and generally what do you farm? Not looking for trade secrets or anything, mind you, just generic info. I have my farmer doing cobalt ore, since it seems to be around 50g a stack on my server. I'm hoping to get around 100k in my bot's guild bank before Cataclysm comes out, and even at a low 3k per day, I could easily hit that goal. Hell, I'm at around 65k now, but I *have* to get a mechano chopper, so that'll set me back. 3k a day over the next few weeks and I'll be set. Anyway, to answer the OP's original question, you could *very* easily hit 50k with one account within a month. What I recommend is to first look at the AH for prices on herbs and ore, to determine which way to best fill the market's need. If you see that say Mithril or Thorium is high, set out to farm that. Just remember to review the AH often to ensure that you aren't over-saturating the market, and bringing prices down. Maybe put up say 5 stacks, with a 1% undercut and monitor how long it takes to sell. If they get bought up quickly, re-list 5 more stacks. You may also want to corner the market, by buying all of that particular resource, and re-listing it and yours for higher prices. This takes more effort, since you have to continually look for people undercutting you, and buy their stuff, and relist it. Some bigger fish could decide just to list a shit ton of that resource undercutting you, so be aware of ALL the risks before you choose a course of action. Lastly, don't flood the market, because you don't want to catch a ban for your efforts.
Saving stuff for Cata is very nice........if you are playing by hand. We are botters, we don't need too just yet. I don't see the point of saving whole guild bank tabs full of ore when it can be easily sold now. Sure maybe a week before I may stock up, but there is plenty of time to gather before now and Cata, so just make as much as you can for now in my humble opinion Most things that are worth something now will be worthless pretty much in Cata, get rid of what you can now, save only those things that are useful for levelling, but wait till nearer the time.
just a quivk update did what you said mrb seems to work so far just made roughly about 1000G in 12 hours not to sure if thats good or not but would like 50k by the end of next week
well saronite ore/bars dont sell at all on my server even titananium ore/bars dont really don't know how to improve performance to be honest :'(
I only make 100-400g a day I am only a level 60 because I have no expansions on this account. What are some tips for farming gold quick on a vanilla? Or am I stuck in the low profit range.
At the moment, prices are rock bottom, it's probably the worst time to start gathering gold to be honest, but you can still make the 50k goal - hang in there. The saronite bars should just get vendored for 25g per stack, not worth putting on the AH and it's a waste of time asking in trade to sell them. I'd also recommend just gathering herbs or ore in a session and get the specialised bags for them if you haven't already, seems to work for me.
