Honor buddy has encountered a problem. We are sorry for the inconvenience. The type initializer for 'Styx.Helpers.CharacterSettings' threw an exception. I did the /run print(GetCVar('gxApi')) and it said i had D3D9 ingame. Here is my full log that gets made. [12:51:04 PM:7] Error - Endscene hook failed: Could not successfully set up synchronization events. [12:51:04 PM:46] Attached to WoW with ID 1276 [12:51:04 PM:46] Loading Honorbuddy 2.0.0.3120 settings. I have tried going back to 3.5 .NET framework SP1 like you told the other forum post, but it still doesn't attach, also tried the new 2.0.0.3120 with 4.0 .NET framework. So I'm clueless as to what to do. Thanks for any help people can give!
Offical wow server yes, wow is in window mode and not minimized, and yes i tried disabling my firewall/anti virus. I'm on windows vista, 64 bit, if that helps!
if its already checked that you are on dx9 then its your net framework version this is the proper net framework version http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...2f-5d1a-413d-8319-81da479ab0d7&displaylang=en
yeah I'm on that .net framework already, i said that ^ up there. only .net framework installed is 3.5 SP1. so I'm not sure what to do.
The other person I just helped was having the same error. In his case, it was because his user account was not an administrator. Double check that and make sure av/fw aren't blocking it.
well i get the popup asking are you sure you want to run this as administrator, and this is the only user on my pc(besides guest) and i'm 100% sure its set as administrator. and no fw/av is turned off right now, only fw i have is on my router and that hasn't changed from when it use to work back on pre-4.0.1 .
I had this problem last night, steps I took to fix: - Complete removal of HB - Emptied recycle bin - Restarted computer - Installed HB
hello tony I'm still having this problem, I uninstalled all my .NET frameworks and reinstalled the one you told me to, and it still gives me the same error, I'm going to reformat tonight most likely and prob be on windows 7 64 bit tomorrow to see if anything changes!
if you havent try reinstalling Direct X 9c (i think thats the latest one) to make sure you have all your Direct X, ducks in a row.
reinstalling directx didn't work, neither did reinstalling .NET framework, I'll try to catch you today on MSN see if we can get this figured out Tony .
