Hey everyone! I currently main a Low Life Ele Spec Throw Scion i run 7 Auras, but without snapshotting, I cannot run more than 3. Needless to say that my build is completely ruined if i am only limited to 3 out of 7 auras(soon to be 8 in 4 more lvls) and if the devs , or maybe some contributors can implement a "Snapshotting" setting, or a plug-in. I've been reading other peoples posts about this, there aren't many other actual posts, but i'm sure that there are a lot of people who want/need this implemented. If you're unfamiliar with what snapshotting auras means, it would have to be something like this. Step1: Equip piece of gear to snapshot auras with for either health or mana. Step2: Cast X aura (Repeatable depending on how many auras are needed to be casted upon the selected resource (mana/HP) Step3: Re-equip original main piece of gear used for the rest of auras. Step4: Cast Remaining auras on the other resource that hasn't been utilized yet(mana/hp) Extra Implementations: Must add something to stop the lootfilter from selling/banking the item used for snapshotting. This is just the requirements that my character would require, maybe other builds require an extra step or 2, maybe they require less. But either way if someone can make this a reality im sure a lot of people would be grateful and you'd definitely have my gratitude and a donation from me and possibly others aswell Thank you and leave a comment on any extra steps or ideas that you think will be important to implement so that if someone does take the time to create something like this they have something to refer.
I requested this in the follow-bot addon, but having it be part of the main bot's logic would be even better. swapping to some of the gear / gems before changing areas would be nice as well since it would allow you redice the time it takes to get them all up.
I read on the POE reddit that there are rumors of the game removing snapshoting since it is exploiting items in a way. Hopefully it doesn't happen, my 200% damage increase from redbeaks for righteous fire is real nice when I actually play him.
Won't happen anytime soon. I've seen dev talks about the issue, and Chris has also said the same; it'll take alot of recoding, and it aint a priority. Maybe in 1.2, who knows.
Even if they are removing it, it'd be nice to see it implemented so we can use it in the mean time...
Snapshotting won't make it into the current bot. The current bot is pretty much just hanging on until the new beta is ready. The new beta version being worked on could do weapon snapshotting since it's an easy weapon swap and gear check. It's highly unlikely it'll have features for gear swapping, especially if it involves switching skill gems and stuff. I just think that's a bit too risky in terms of things that go wrong. It should be possible for users to have their own code that does it, since the only thing not added to the API yet is the skill gem unequip/reequip (will be re-added later).
Well im hoping that maybe someone will make a plugin for it. that would be awsome. and it shouldn't take too too much code to do so. its fairly a simple idea. maybe im wrong but its a possibility that this could help someone make a plugin for it, thats what im hoping for.
