Mirabis -- Do you think you could add to this the ability to autofocus the player using the TANK-role in a group? My example would be for farming JP/VP when doing random heroics. I have a macro set up to start all my CRs by focusing the TANK in my dungeon/raid/scenario group. But, sometimes the tank drops group and a new comes in, so I have to refocus again. Sometimes these groups move so quickly that I don't have time to get the tank focused manually, so I have to fumble along fighting, clicking, focusing, and casting things. If the group moves really quickly, it gets annoying. This would be the most awesome plugin if there were an option, such as radio buttons or a drop-down box, to select "Always AutoFocus: TANK/DPS1/DPS2/DPS3/HEALER" and it would AutoFocus the character filling whichever role you selected. You could also leave the character name option as well, for if you want to just focus Bob always, no matter what role Bob is filling. Edit: And, in scenarios, since there's no official role selections (you can have three healers, three dps, three tanks, or a mixture of the roles) you can just choose the player with the most HP, or base it off of armor, or somehow choose the best player for a makeshift tank.
Hey there, was just trying our your Autofocus plug-in and it works great! Just wanted to know if you could add some features to make it useful for Arenas! As you may know, when certain classes use abilities it causes your focus to drop (i.e. rogue using vanish, priest spectral guise). Would it be possible to add Arena options, so that the plug-in automatically sets the focus to Arena 1, Arena 2 or Arena 3, and then re-set it automatically if it drops? This would be very useful! Thanks.
Love the idea of setting arena 1 as focus at the start of match and having a plugin hold my focus the entire match!
Any word on getting those options implemented, Mirabis? It's been about three weeks since this last post saying you were busy. Just curious because I farm a lot of dungeons and I'm always having to manually set the person in the TANK role as my focus. Would be nice to have this plugin do it for me, when you get around to it. I know it's not pressing or important. I'm still waiting patiently, lol.
Good stuff! I'll give it a test shortly, after dinner. I'll let you know if it works or not. Hopefully, because LFR has two tanks, it doesn't cause the plugin to freak out, lol. Edit: Just deleted the old versions, downloaded the new version, and loaded up HB. Got tons of compile errors and the plugin didn't work. The compiler errors start on line 248 in Notepad++.
My own absent mindedness has caused me to lose the log due to having a program that clears out my logs folder each time I log into Windows for the first time of the day, so I have no log for you right now Mirabis, but I tried the fix you said to do and it still spams that compiler error about namespace and such. When I log in to WoW at some point today, I'll generate another log and post it for you. I know you're busy with college, so just whenever you get the time to get around to it. For now I'll just remove it from the plugins folder. Good luck to you, sir.
