I am currently having an issue with the LATEST stable build of HonorBuddy, downloaded directly from here at the OFFICIAL website just yesterday (Tuesday, May 27, 2014). The application itself launches, but does not request any form of authentication, nor does it print an error/notification or text of any kind within the HonorBuddy application itself. Log file is as follows:

      View attachment 2748 2014-05-28 00.39.txt

Now in an attempt NOT to waste the valuable time of the staff here, I'll just quickly run through what I have done...

      • Security Software (Anti-Virus \ Malware/Spyware \ Firewall) have all been disabled, the problem persists through this change
      • I have downloaded/insstalled the latest build for .NETFramework 4.5.1 and all of the updates that followed, problem persists
      • Downloaded/Installed Microsoft Visual C++ Redistribuable Package 2005, 2008, 2012, 2013 x86 and x64 versions (where applicable), problem persists
      • I have tried to run the application with UAC enabled/disabled, problem persists
      • Ran the application as Administrator, PowerUser, Standard User and Guest, problem persists
      • Ran the application from the Windows BUILT-IN Administrator account, also using "Run As Administrator", porblem persists
      • Ran the application on multiple variations of hardware (desktop/laptop, varied system components), as well as multiple operatins systems, problem persists
      • Completely moved all information related to HonorBuddy from the system files and registry, re-downloaded a copy of the installer and ran the test from scratch with a fresh install, problem persists

This is pretty much everything I could think of, although I have NOT tried installing the application in another directory, as the current installation path, is exactly the same as it was before I did a complete system format, 3 days ago.

download the latest version of honorbuddy from here.
      http://updates.buddyauth.com/GetNewest?filter=Honorbuddy

after that do a CLEAN Install into a new folder, do not re-install to an previous installation and do not copy over any plugins, combat routines or quest behaviors into this new installation.

      then

      download and install this.
      http://download.microsoft.com/downl...-4FF2-B699-5E9B7962F9AE/VSU3/vcredist_x86.exe
after your done restart your pc.
if your still having issues after, upload a new log as an attachment.

The file from step #2 of your post is one I mentioned I had already downloaded and installed. However, after removing the files related to the .exe installer version of HonorBuddy and performing a clean install with the .zip version, I am able to launch the bot and authenticate my key, so this matter can be considered resolved. Thank you for your help and as always, happy questing!
