so, i was wondering if you guys would be interested in a monthly, or even weekly podcast / live stream / show, that would cover things like

BuddyTeam products - give demo's of products (like hearthbuddy) or features (like dungeonbuddy)
Game news - maybe theres a new wow patch and i (we) talk about that and how that might effect your botting.
Product announcements - if we ever have any.
Product patch notes - for major stuff, just going over the the changes.
Community Feedback - taking and answering your questions or maybe showing off pictures of your setups or sharing your success stories.

ideally the show would be around 30min long, possibly broken down into 3 segments like
Game news - demo / guide - community feedback
patch notes - game news - product announcement

let me know what you guys think or if theres anything you would like to see. i would hate to spend a lot of time producing something if theres not a audience for it.

i dont think i would do that. that would be bad, because then depending on how many people actually follow the advice:
      1. the area would be saturated.
      2. people would know that exclusively botters are farming it.

I'm not sure if the follow suggestion is the same as BuddyTeam products, but it's nice that you talk about the updates from every bosslands production and why you did them.

we don't want to know every update of course but just those what really matter

so good news. im moving forward. with what i hope is a weekly series. where i take 5 bots setup with refer a friend and setup and run them with dungeon buddy and battlegrounds and not only give weekly updates as to how they're progressing, but also give tutorials on how to set things up and what you can do with 5 characters at the same time.

at this point the team is going to be
      Warrior - Tank
      Mage - DPS
      Hunter - DPS
      Shaman - DPS
      Priest - Healer

most episodes will be done via live commentary. where ill have the bots running in 5 view mode where you can see all the characters moving and running a dungeon or whatever, and segments where i screen record and walk you though setting things up. for example when i get to dungeonbuddy, i might show you how to setup a Tank, a Healer and a DPS, to run in party mode.

let me know what you guys think.

I would like to see some kind of buddy blog (doesn't even need to be a video/youtube) where mods/devs write short statements about current developments, status of bots, planned features and stuff like this.
Involve us in new ideas and discuss functions, create polls and so on.

Everytime we have a new bot, nobody actually knows what's going on. Best example Wildstar now. There is a thread with 498345345 pages and sometimes Apoc gives an update. It would be so much easier to have the blog feature back (don't know why it has been removed anyway...) where developers, no matter if community or from buddyteam can create stuff like a "development diary" "roadmaps" however you wanna call it.

This blog is always on top and comments can be written and read below. (Something like hankerspace does with Hearthbuddy Updates). Right now you have to search through pages over pages of stuff that sometimes isn't even related to the actual topic. This is very unefficient and bad.

i cant control what other people can and cant do. all i know is, this is a project im doing for the community. so instead of going "hey thats great codename, but what i really want is for apoc to tell me what hes doing every 4 seconds" maybe you could just show some enthusiasm that something new is happening.

You are completely ignoring what i wrote and only focus on that Apoc/Wildstar part.

      Generally i said:

This isn't that far from what you initially described.

And don't get me wrong, i wasn't complaining or everything. It was just an idea about what, from my point of view, would improve and help the community the most, based on experience i gained as being a member here for some years. If you are willing to do whatever it will be in the end, of course i am thankful and think it is nice.

the other devs/mods dont have time or you would hear from them every day. you guy want updates, but they cant give you updates all the time.

now maybe if your suggesting something like a Blue Tracker. ill keep that in mind for my next project, but right now this is what im focused on as i think this will not only draw people into the community but maybe the community can learn a thing or two as well. not a week goes by where i dont get questions about refer a friend or how to work dungeonbuddy. this series attempts to remedy some of those questions in a HOPEFULLY entertaining format.

"The Weekly BuddyShow: Starring CodenameG" i like it! :)

I think you've hit the nail on the head with "something like a blue tacker". Starting each episode with a summary of updates posted by any of the buddy devs would be great! Maybe expand it with "This weeks featured plugin or CR" if you run out of content in the silent weeks.

I also like the concept of explanatory tutorial and/or a video series of your personal buddy team. You might want to separate those three things into different video branches though, referring to those videos in your weekly video for example.

While i really like your idea and i assume most of the buddy product users would, i'm also gonna warm you for the general YouTube public: You WILL receive quite a lot of hate. Botting isn't really socially accepted outside of these forums or similar forums and people will probably blame you for breaking their games.

Oh PS. mabye do guest speakers as well from time to time (Buddy devs, plugin/CR devs, succes stories) :)

Anyway i'll sure keep an eye on this topic, curious about your first video!

I would follow that! The party mode thing would be really awesome too!

Still waiting to see 10 bots doing a raid.

I really like this idea! because I get tons of question about this topic and it's not that easy to tell it.
I also like the idea that I can watch and learn more!

its not a live stream, but i've captured pretty much all the footage i need, im going to make a video about the 1-15 and then setting up dungeon buddy and doing the 15-85 or 15-90.

video one at this point should cover account setup, how to raf 5 accounts, why they need to be at least level 15, what classes to pick for best team composition, (setting up honorbuddy im just going to link the setup video since its basicly the same)

video two will probably start with setting up dungeonbuddy, and a few tricks that you should know before running a team. then some other tips as you get up there in levels.

im doing a special project running another team, currently the times are roughly
      1-15 - 3 hours per toon
      15-50 - 8 hours give or take.
15-85 - could probably be done in less 24 hours.

this actually sounds like a great idea. Honestly, the setup of 5 accounts is a great start/topic to start with.

For me, like others, it does NOT have to be a full video tutorial or videocast per se. It can be written/blog type with "short" video tutorials for specific parts. Even if you record the WHOLE thing as a video. (i know this is now a lot of work but.....) maybe having the ability to have it ALL in video, and then doing a written version with links to specific segments of the video for video parts.

Also like others have stated maybe having a portion of the cast/written dedicated to pertinent updates with the bots. NO need to spend time with 20 mins of talking about a bot that has been updated several times during the week, but maybe a recap of what major items have been changed or new features.

So like dungeon buddy for example, that would be one focus, leave everything else out. Or if its 30 mins, spend 25 mins on dungeon buddy setup and work, and then 5 mins to "everything else".

If there is anything in the "wind" that you caught with one of the bots, maybe a speculation.

One thing I can say I'd like to see if possible is have you seen "cyborgmatt" and his postings for DotA2? He takes every update and breaks it down to things known and things unknown. I think this would be a cool idea if you could implement it for the bots if possible.

Maybe have a "featured" profile or routine for WoW?

not sure have many ideas that could be used here.

Let me know if you need/want help with anything and I will try my best to try and help you out here.

thats kinda what i started doing here.
CodenameGamma.com » Botting News and Reviews.

the idea was to have a blog about botting and all that stuff, to link my own projects and stuff. but as you can see from the last update it never really took off. not only that but i didnt wanna have it all hosted on my own servers since the buddyforum, and buddyauth servers can get DDoSSed to death with up hundreds of Gigabytes of traffic at once. i didnt want to become a target. maybe i can get bossland to blog like blog.thebuddyforum.com or blog.honorbuddy.com but its very unlikely.

let me JUST get these videos out and maybe we'll go from there.
