I've never done for buying items under vendor sale price (is unprofitable for me, just a little gold per day), but you can manually configure AH bot for each item you want to scan putting the vendor sale price less 1c as the purchase price. it's very time consuming for so low profit.
made level 1 toon named goldcapped. charged people 150 gold to tell them where to farm. made 5k in one day. wasnt a good gold method but seen how many people would bite.
i am working on a inscription plugin. it is far far away to be released but still making 2k/h on weekend and holidays
Strange way? Grinding Dungeons with Dungeonbuddy or doing Archeology with Archeologybuddy both ways grant an good amount of Gold.
Not very strange though. Selling guild sigs sometimes makes a few gold. People seem to offer up to 150g per sig these days. Bit random on how many you can do of course.
killing orcs outside orgrimmar (near the coast), the mobs drop 5-8c ea. farm it for a year or so, and you can call it a profit how to make money; get a job.
I remember when just wotlk just came out I thought it was a nice idea to just create a DK and do the begin quest so you get gold and mail it and restart it was just around the 200 gold that you could get with this method in 1 day or so
