Hey guys, I have been looking around the forum and haven't really found an answer for this question. I am curious on what's a safe amount of time per session per day I can run my toon while leveling him to 85. Does the 4-5 hours a day for farming gold apply to this situation? I want to get him to 85 as soon as possible but want to ensure I don't over bot him while getting to 85. I am also using Kicks profile 1-85. Thanks in advanced!
I think any answer is pretty much guess from anyone. They're people who bot 24/7 while others limit to 10 - 12 hour sessions per day. For me... I've botted (questing) 24+ hour sessions on multiple toons while leveling and never been banned. I'm could just lucky; however, I think the majority of bans while leveling/questing come from player reports. With that in mind your risk is certainly higher the longer you play, but that's not to say its impossible to play for 1-hour and get reported/banned.
if i was you watch out i hade some days that i had one account and i botted for 4 hours and im banned its really risky to use questbotting u be better safer with dungeon botting get a 5 man team and use raf
This really depends on your intentions with the account. If it is a attempt to make real money, then go 24/7 until banned. I usually get 30 days before they ban all my accounts. If it is just a extra account to farm some mats, and make a little gold with then take your time and consider it a long term investment and use your best judgment. Noone here, including myself can tell you what's "safe".
I got bann one time from kicks not biggie was my dumb ass that ran it 18 hrs a day I cut it down to 8 hrs a day and have not been ban on my 2ed or 3rd acc
One thing I'd watch out for is getting stuck. LogMeOut is an amazing plugin, should be default in my opinion. I resently leveled a battle chest to 85 - and when first starting out between 10-15 everything was running super smooth, so I thought, "pfft. I can go sleep for a few hours, and be like lvl 30 when I wake up!" Mean while, my bot gets stuck on a glitch mob, I wake up to two whispers "???" And "nice bot" .. So I most likly got reported, but that was over 30 days ago, and no ban. My tips would be: Put WoW in the lowest resolution 800x500 or whichever, put it to lowest graphics, and move it out of the way while you do something else. The LogMeOut plugin pretty much keeps your bot the safest if you use the settings very strictly. I bot on a separate account, so if someone whispers me, thats bad, so I set it to logout after 1 whisper, and after 5 deaths. You can set it to beep when ever one of those settings trigger Personally, I found kicks profile safer to AFK at higher levels, but I always set it to auto log after 2-3 hours if I was sleeping, or leaving my pc, because theres still a few things you need to manually click.
Everything in here besides "24/7" is total bullshit from people who read some threads, have their one 30-days-HB-licence and think they know whats going on.
the only reason you would get banned from questing is from real players that 'catch' you. ie: you farm in the same area and they invite you to join them. or you're stuck and running in circles

In general i'd have to say that Kick's profiles are amazing. there are some areas that are really annoying due to high density players and wow trolls (bootybay for instance), this however is no fault of the author. I usually bot around 12-16 hours, but could probably go up to 24, though i currently dont see a need. I check my bot from time to time to see if there are any whispers/insane amounts of deaths. I've never had a "nice bot", "stop botting a**hole", "???", but i guess this is mostly due to the fact that I don't prefer to fully afk bot for hours on end, and regularly monitor whats going on. from what i've heard its tough getting banned from questing, though i guess nothing is really certain, you'll either get banned at some point or you could bot for years at a moderate pace without getting caught (i know several ah botters, who've made tons of gold and have yet to see a ban)
Safest approach would probably be just botting while you would normally play. I usually have my bot running and have a plugin that warns me about whispers or close players. So everytime it warns me I check whats going on. I usually start botting from when I wake up till I got to bed Oh, and yes kicks profiles are amazing. Havent gotten stuck once during my time leveling from 1-62.
