I have been botting fine for about 3 years and recently returned to wow and starting botting again with my 2nd wow account ( never botted on my main ) However I was surprised to find out today that I had been perma banned on my 2nd account. So here is my report: 1)Were you using Honorbuddy, Gatherbuddy or both on the account? Both , but I was using Gatherbuddy over the last couple of days, had not used bgbuddy ( only other bot i used on that account for over a week) 2)Which version (and Beta or Release)?: Release 3)If so, when was the last time?: 09.07.14 4)What profile were you using?: BotAlotz Gold Machine 2.2.xml 5)What combat class were you using? if None Just put Default then the Classname: Singular 6)What plugins are you using?: Standart ones that come with HB 7)How many hours per day did you bot for?: Varied between 6-10h 8)What honest percentage of time did you supervise your bot? 50-90% depending on the day ( however the last day i botted i did not supervise the bot for about 4-5hours ) 9)How many auctions per day did you have?: None with that account 10)Did you Use Any Other Bots, Hacks, or Mods? I used a V.P.N for the pc the bot was running on 11)Was your account involved in gold selling? No 12)EU or US realm? Eu If anyone has a good idea how to dispute this iam open for ideas.
You can admit to it or deny it... personally I feel like denying it is stupid, as they already know you obviously did something wrong to get banned in the first place. Many, if not most people, just play the "I'm sorry Blizz I didn't know botting was wrong" card. Anything should work, though.
Do they actually believe you saying: Sorry I did not know botting is illegal ? Even though the bot manufacturer themselves say that it is. I mean how blind / stupid do you have to be
Well i guess i gonna try the iam sorry approach. The only thing iam worried about is losing my main account as well. Is there any chance it could happen ? Its on a separate bnet account that was not using a V.P.N. ( so it would not show up in the same country as the account i botted from ) I also used 2 different computers. However both accounts do have the same owner name but different payment methods.
If it's just an over-gathering ban, your main should be fine. The only time they really go after other accounts is when they're involved in massive operations and/or selling gold (from what I've read on here). I wouldn't worry about it too much, but risk of losing accounts is definitely an occupational hazard when it comes to botting.
my best appeal was '' Why am I banned ? I don't understand - I botted very safely'' perma turned into 72 hours, I doubt they even read it lol
You are doing general mistake here. Illegal=against any written law in sovereign country. By botting, you are only against Blizzard's TOS/EULA, so no, botting is not illegal!
