I've just been messaged by two people. One of them told me he had reported me, while another told me that he and a group of his friends have been "watching me" and have all reported me. I am expecting to get banned. How should I go about appealing? As in what should I tell Blizz in regards to getting them to unban me?
It's not like they process those reports instantly. Play manually for a while and the GM investigating you will look the other way.
Easy, tiger. Take a deep breath and relax. Remember, botters know how to spot other botters. Sometimes they use whispers as a way to intimidate people to get them to stop botting. Other times they try to be the "good guy" and tell you you're obviously botting and what you're doing can result in getting your account banned. It takes more than a couple of reports to get the hammer dropped on you. Even then, GMs will likely watch you play for a short while before giving your account the axe. It's best to just "lay low" and play normal for awhile like Liferose said. No, not cease playing, but play normal. This shows them that you have nothing to hide and that you're actually controlling your toon, not just another bot farmer. If you're this paranoid about getting banned, you might want to think twice about botting. Never do so on an account you're scared to lose.
Best way mate is to just reply to them and be like, I ain't botting bud, but it's nice to know that you care. Then play normally. Blizz can check the conversation you had and etc. they'll see that you were there. Even if it's obvious you were botting or whatever, there's still proof that you were, at the time still chilling out at the computer. Pretty ridiculously low chance to get banned. Also lots of people can bullshit that they got their friends/personal army to report you. Just a bs scare tactic to try and get you to quit because they're fucking powerless.
And if you really get banned don't lie to them. Appeal your ban and say something like "A friend showed me this and I wanted to test it out without thinking about the consequences"
Heh funny thing I've had the SAME wow account "Permanently Closed" 2 times now. I waited about 2 months after they were "permanently closed" and send an apologetic message each time, worked like a charm. If you get banned the first one will be a 72hr almost guaranteed so don't sweat it.
