Hello Today i bought 2 seat rocket + 1 month game play from some lvl1 guy for xx amount of gold. Is that bannable? oO And if it is what can i do about it? Since it's my main account for 4-5 years now, and cba to lose it >.< As i'm considering this as lvl1 sells rocket to make another lvl1 account linked to you, since you paid to that lvl1 char blizz will think it's yours, that lvl 1 char transfer gold to the new created acc which is linked to you and sells it, bam u get banned for gold selling >.<
Someone tried to sell it on my server too... 26.000g But seeing as it is a free recruit a friend mount and I believe the person being recruited needs to pay for 1 month gametime, you might still be scammed (if the guy decides to not pay for 1 month). I doubt it is against the TOS though.
I wouldn't say there's much you can do about that. It'll look like you sold gold to that level 1 guy if they look into it. I wouldn't farm too much for the next few weeks.

Did this too. only 10k though. Figured 10k x $1.5/k = $15 = 1 month Game time. So I really just sold enough gold for 1 month game time on a bot account and got a free rocket mount. Had a great Conversation with the guy too. Unfortunately, the gold that I traded wasn't on the RaF Account and the guy got banned before he could even make it to the bank. My account is still solid. no bans. Poor Guy... (He was gold seller) I offered to sell him Gold, but he said he no buy. :-/
they sell it on mine for like 12k, i offer 3k for it and they will say "no less than 8k" ... its tempting as i get a rocket and a free month... for 8k. but imma horde (i hate the horde) my gold until cata and see how much I can get when my broker's coffers are empty
They use stolen credit cards to buy game and month, so you may be lucky and keep the mount and free time and you may not. Depends on how hard blizz looks into it. I mean really think about it. 20k is about $20 with todays gold market. Now, Game plus time? They arent that nice.
Never buy 30-day time cards from 3rd party sellers, they aren't safe like Deathsenemy said previously, due to people buying them and the payments to blizzard getting reversed by chargebacks or stolen cc, then the blame is put on you the user of the 30-day time card. 60-day time cards are safe though from 3rd party sellers though, since they are sold in physical boxes to resellers and do not originate from the online blizzard site.
If using stolen CC's to purchase the account and pay for 2 months. It will come back some how. But not sure how it would effect you. It was just friend linked account. Not sure. I do remember watching a markee dragon vid on how you can get banned for using stolen CC to purchase game time. Some poor guy got banned for buying stolen game time 2 years back. Caught up to him. Made him pay for that 1 month. Then let him have account bank. But with this being the friend account... not yours. They spam this on my server all time too. I take enough chance botting not going to buy in.
I think that's a load of crap, no offense. Had a "friend" who shoplifted all his gametime from walmart for two years straight, no ban.
Physically stealing from wal-mart is a lot different than charging back on a virtual purchase made from blizzards site. If walmart could identify the exact item codes for the boxes stolen by your "friend", then they could potentially send that information to blizzard and report those timecards stolen, but walmart doesn't track their stuff that well and would likely never spend time to do that. 30 Day Time Cards = ONLY sold online at Blizzard Store 60 Day Time Cards = In physical boxes like the ones at walmart, that are purchased by the store in mass quantities from blizzard. These are also the ones that online resellers (offgamers, guy4game, and so on) sell the codes from.
This is Fail. So you are paying some1 to make a new account and giving them money to start the account with? All for a rocket? And you are violating terms and conditions so can be banned. I really don't want to flame but that is STUPID.
Guys this is against the eula since you trade ingame gold for real life money being game time in this case

The Rocket is an award once you add a friend via the recruit a friend option. * Your friend has to buy 2 Months of Gametime, then you get the award and 1 extra month of gametime because you did an affiliate and make it happen that he paid for 2 months How can such an "Service" cost between 10 - 25k Gold ? 2 Months gametime are around 20 EUR or $25. His account has to have at least an WOW Key added = another $10. Easily - the fuckers use stolen Credit Cards, and you are helping them! In 1-6 months your account will be closed. 2 Months are not €40 nor $50. Gamecards on offgamers or other key-selling currencies are something near €20 and a vanilla key is €8. So its not that far away.
You are right i counted 1 gamecard as 1 month, however the rest still stands -> fraud // scam and within some months all that comes on you , because once the other acc gets killed, your promo is gone and your free month too
