after all these events my friend warned me not to use bots that make automatic movements (questing, gather, etc) because he thinks that blizz implemented a way to collect data directly from these movements ...
this is true? there is someone here who continue to use the questing / gather bot and have not had problems?

automatic (imo) mean does not need the user to click it to move

there is no such thing as automatic movement,Blizz implemented movement type that is called Click-to-move and that is what HB is using, you have hotspots that HB is sendint to wow as mouse clicks and therefore,it moves from point A to point B

This is how I see it,in general

Someone correct me if I am wrong

Your friend is angry and doesn't want you to bot.

Well, Click to move would serve as an easy step to set bot apart from humans. I mean, maybe 5% of the non botting playerbase use CtM, while 90% of the botting population does.

If Blizzard really wanted to get rid of the botters once and for all, this would one of the most obvious methods to check.

THat said, I guess Buddystaff knows it, and updating this system is probably either high on their wish list or not possible due to how bot works. But they know it, have a better knowledge of Blizzard banning methods than we do, and there's been many threads about it in the past.

This is untrue honorbuddy could easily remove CTM but they have no reason to since its not traceable and is more efficient than keyboard turning

Please inform yourself before stating your wishes as facts.
      1) its so difficult to trace that it is a game in option, and as such, it is stored within the game data.It could hardly be easier for them to trace it.
2)Who spoke of keyboard turning? I for one use mouse moving when manually playing. I think that is within Honorbuddy reach.

your friend is trying to protect you from being banned, but people don't get banned because of the reason he mentioned which is movement.
They get banned because they use public gatherbuddy profiles / get reported / do same farming over and over / etc which has nothing to do with the way the bot moves :p

Well, i dont know what you mean by 'pve' ... do you mean afk pve (grinding) or using the combat routine while being on the computer controlling your char :)

grinding is risky (but still depends on other factors)
controlling yoru char while the bot does the rotation in pve is 99% safe (but still depends on how you set it up)

I hear arena blotting is risky as the bot is faster than a human.
