Alright so I was thinking about goldfarming (for personal use not gold sales) So I was wondering.... Say I have one account with some 90s that I don't really care for, but it is RaF'd to my main account. If I suicide goldfarm that account, and have it mail the money to my OTHER account, will my main account be banned too even if I don't bot on my main account?
no one knows the answer to this question. for more info look here https://www.thebuddyforum.com/honorbuddy-forum/ban-section-ban-reports/
Doesn`t matter. I used to buy RAF Gametime on ebay for my main account. That means that i recruited some chinese gold farming accounts with fake names. They created an account, I got my gametime and after a few days they were all banned (I can see that in my RAF section of Bnet) and nothing happened to my main. If you recruit something, its not your job to take care that that account does not bot.
I understand that, and I'm not expecting to get banned "because the friend I recruited botted" but because the gold was sent to me, from that account that botted. I.E. Goldfarming on the bot to supply gold for my main account, and using one of my main account's toons as the one that everything is sent to from the bot through the mail
Ok that makes a difference. Sorry i missed that last sentece in your previous post! In that case there is a very high risk of getting banned on both accounts! With luck you can turn the ban on your main into a 72h ban. No matter how you do it, transfering a large ammount of gold is always a risk. And if they catch a gold botting account and see that all the gold went to another account and always the same account over a period of time it is kind of hard to explain to blizz. People definately got banned because of that
Now, if my main account owned the guild, and they deposited the items/gold into the Guild Bank, without actually mailing it to my main account, and I suicide botted the account that was farming the gold. Then waited maybe a week after that account got banned to withdrawl all the stuff from the guild bank, would that prevent me from getting banned on my main account along with the goldfarming bot? Or no?
I've had them perm ban my main account before that i never botted on, and was doing nothing more than what you are talking about. I usualy kept a dozen accounts running when gold was worth something, And would lose one here and there along the way. One day after a pretty hefty gold sale, they perm banned everything i had ever touched. Don't ever think your "main" is safe because it's not the one botting. Sooner or later a GM is going to get tired of your shit and trace the money..
my last major ban i lost 6 accounts. all 6 were in the same guild 2 that i ran dungons and raids, jc/ench and jc/alch 2 strict farmers and 2 that only had 1 level 41 druid on each account they banned all 6 accounts, dissolved the guild, and took over 100k+ gold i couldnt even sit down at the computer for a couple days after that kick in the nuts
