HB ARCHIVES: DungeonBuddy--DO NOT DELETE

Spoils of Pandaria

Toon still target the Mobs from the other Side and dont move/fight, or run into walls.

My DB do not load custom script. I have put my custom script in same folder as custom profiles. What could coze this problem?

[DungeonBuddy]: Entered Lost City of the Tol'vir dungeon and using default script
[DungeonBuddy]: Successfully loaded custom profile for Lost City of the Tol'vir

Heya,

I got 2 small suggestions that would make a great addition to the bot!

1. Allow Dungeonbuddy to set loot mode on master looter (so you need only one potion of luck)
2. Allow Dungeonbuddy to drop items into the guild bank before or after vendoring (you make a list of the items you want to be dropped into the guild bank)

Would raise my GPH by a lot :)

im trying to run vale of eternal blossoms. as soon as it enters the lfr raid, it leaves. and i get deserter. why?

hi,chinajade,
I noticed one new feature 'Dungeonbuddy will now leave dungeon if inactive for too long'.
How long will toons stay before leave dungeon?
Hi, Mrsunday1986,

We're not certain of the duration of the timer. But, the timer should be relatively short, and we know Dungeonbuddy will leave if everyone else breaks group (e.g., rest of party is humans).

The timer was put in place to be a "good citizen"...
The idea was to make DungeonBuddy a good party member by allowing humans to 'take care of business' (like rezzing party members, turning in quests), before kicking them out of the dungeon. Of particular interest is preserving the ability to port out and back into the Dungeon to get to the entrance for turning in a quest. This is much faster than running, and Dungeonbuddy uses the technique itself.

The timer should be short enough, it won't be awkward if human group members start asking "you want to run another dungeon". Yes, we actually think about things like this. :D

cheers,

Hi Chinajade, sorry for not posting my log(s) yet, but I haven't got a good one.

I was hoping someone else has experienced something similar and could post his log untill I got one.

Basically when I am running Shado-Pan Monastery Heroic, something goes wrong and the chars end up in the water with around 8 mobs. Sometime after killing Sha of Violence if I am not mistaken.

Will provide extra details if I can isolate the problem.
I believe that the tooons should run to the back and fight the witch from there.

Hi, Angelus,

Indeedy, we will need the logs. we run Heroic Shadow-Pan Monastery regularly, and haven't experienced any problems.

cheers,
chinajade

During Iron Juggernaut fight. Toon is getting thrown back by siege mode and landing in some black spots.

<Blackspot X="1280.059" Y="-4459.827" Z="26.11182" Radius="3" />

<Blackspot X="1288.056" Y="-4434.271" Z="26.03175" Radius="3" />
Hi, Rascal9,

So, we assume Honorbuddy is running out of those blackspots, and the fight continues successfully.

If that is not the case, please attach the full log that demonstrates the failure mode.

Hi, Tumbum,

If you're referring to HB-1055 ("Siege of Orgrimmar, Forgotten Depths: Not handling Monstrous Gastropod well"), that bug report is still open.

Hi. I am testing DGbuddy for farming in Cataclysm.
I have put custom profile in a folder. DB take my profile.
I have put custom script in the same folder. DB do NOT take that script.
Is there special roules for custom script?
Should I make subfolders? Name Cataclysm?

Hi, Unmomento,

There's a lot of places to screw up. And, we cannot support customization. So, we're going to leave this for the Community to help you out with.

You might have better luck in the Community Developer forum. If you do make a thread over here, be certain to attach your modified files, and be very specific about how you installed them, what problem you are observing, and don't forget to attach your log file that captures the observed problem.

Cant get my healer to heal in heroics scenarios. I que as a 3 man group the healer will just follow.
Hi Boatswain,

This is more than likely a problem with your combat routine, or you've managed to configure Dungeonbuddy for queuing the healer as DPS, instead of heals.

If you need assistance, we will need to see the full log attached that captures the issue, please.

Hi, Abyssion, and thank you for the suggestions.

Neither of these are features we would consider in Dungeonbuddy.

The first one...
would be highly subject to abuse (or carelessness) that would get your account banned by player reports pretty quick.

The second one...
[post=1632616]this post[/post] should make it clear why we won't consider adding "guild bank" logic.

If you really wanted to pursue these options, we suggest writing a plugin to accomplish the goals.

Thats too bad :( is there a way to set it to master looter though (as in automaticly)?

Im sorry Chinajade but this are 2 different Bosses. "Spoils of Pandaria" are in Dungeon "The Underhold" its the Boss where are this Boxes are and you have to open it.
Will try to take a Screenshot/Logfile. At the little Map Picture you see, when my Toon is on one side it will sometimes target the opposite mobs, but he cant navigate to this and stay still till
its dead to go on on his side. Think the Combatrange has to decrease at this Boss.

Hi again, Abyssion,

Yes, a plugin could do this automatically, if you were so inclined to write it, or convince someone else to in the Plugin Requests & Discussion forum. You may also find a WoWclient addon that can do this for you.

Hi again, Mrsunday1986,

The timer we discussed is not active until Dungeonbuddy determines the dungeon is complete. There are other timers run by DungeonBuddy to determine if it has been abandoned in the dungeon and other boundary cases. These are internal implementation details, and subject to change and tuning as we find problems.

As to the 3 toon scenarios, the answer is the same with DungeonBuddy as without. If its something you would do manually, assign one of your DPSers as the tank. A feral Druid, for instance, can probably fill this role, as can almost any plate wearer no matter the spec.

Otherwise, you need to find a more balanced group.

Hi, Tumbum, and thanks for the picture.

Sorry for any confusion. I have yet to Siege of Orgrimmar due to simple lack of time. So are kindof winging it when people report problems.

We can find no bug report captured for what you are describing. We've found bug report HB-978 ("Siege of Orgimmar, The Underhold: Movement issues at Spoils of Pandaria"). Although superficially it appears to be the same, this report is addressing LoS issues with a healer, and not the problem you are describing. Also, this report was resolved in the HB .746 drop.

I will start writing a bug report for this new problem you describe, and will attach your information and the picture. But, before it can be submitted, we must attach a log that illustrates the problem. When you can get that log, please tell the the timestamp where the problem starts to happen, so we can call it out.

cheers,
chinajade
