My gf is lvling a priest and we are looking for a solid CR. The only 2 we have currently are kingwow and Oracle I. I know i can pay for Oracle but are there other alternatives. Either paid or free? We are both Currently 87 and looking to raid a bit.
Good luck, especially for Disc priest PVE.. there is NOTHING that works. Some below average.... I had to switch to Holy just so I could get my IL high enough to get real raiding gear.
did you have any luck with oracle 1 or 2? i had hoped to use it for an alt ive been leveling. my plans were to have one of each healer for wod. ive got druid, paladin, shaman, monk, and working on the priest now.
i had that same issue when druid healing with Leaves. especially at low gear levels. It took me a month to really get familiar with the cr to be able to switch settings on the fly to adjust for my poor gear. now i am 566 and have no mana issues at all. one thing id suggest is getting a spirit trinket. there is one on timeless isle for 50k coins. seems like a lot but you should be able to get that in a week. it is 535 and can be boosted all the way to 551. set your cr to use it on cooldown. you will see a significant improvement in mana management.
right at the moment, there is only oracle 2 with some profound adjustments you have to do. otherwise it is mana consuming like-a-boss furthermore i recommend to give that holy specc a serious try. its pretty viable comparing to its low-rep.
My alt -an i560 Discipline Priest with Legendary cloak -is running on the free version of Oracle via Tyrael, both BuddyStore editions. I have *no idea* of what to do with Discipline beyond the basic concept of the class and rotation, CDs etc. The Oracle CR performs quite well and generally (25N and 10N) I can outperform healers with higher iLvl and experience. I have found that, of course, manual intervention is required with healing; many encounters require you to do stuff *before* some mechanic hits... which is what I find frustrating. I also find that every CR's UI looks horrible and feels like some 90's college VBScript project when compared to the multitude of options that TuanHa's CR suite affords. I find myself manually having to pre-empt PW:Barrier and Spirit Shell, though as soon as I do click Spirit Shell the CR automatically applies Prayer of Healing though not on necessarily the correct person/group. That said, as others have recommended, Oracle runs quite well despite the clunky basic interface. With Mana, until you are geared, go with Spirit -I believe AskMrRobot will advise the same -as you may OOM with lower gear. IIRC my healer sucked until I progressed beyond LFR.
I think Tuanha has the best CRs for healing. I main a MW Monk and do better heals then people with 10 - 30ilvl higher then me, even if they too are a MW monk. Tuanha does not have a priest CR but you all ready know when they do one it will be the best. I have used almost all of Tuanha CRs from Tank, Healing, and DPS. If it is not the best for the spec it is one of the best. They know their stuff. I have a 90 in atleast ilvl 510 in all classes and most specs.
Yes if only TuanHa could make a Priest CR!.. though I suspect that will never happen as Millz makes Priest... Just to add another option, and this was actually what I used ultimately back in the day: KingWoW - Discipline and Holy This, in my opinion, has a much better interface and presented options than Oracle and still performs well and gets my recommendation!
She tried king wow last night and it did a bit better but as stated, it may just be a mana issue. Cant wait for Tuanha to release a priest!
I am working on a priest atm, level 84, and my spec is Disc.. The only problems I've encountered with singular is the lack of using its utility. I want more of PoM healing! The CR will use PoM rarely at all. Binding heal would be very nice too. Also, the bot wants to choose desperate prayer, which is a weak ability at low levels. If Singular would utilize more on binding heal, then desperate prayer wouldn't be needed, and angelic bulwark would be the best option. I really can keep picking at the current cr for priests, but its not going to solve anything with it.
i use kingwow on a disci priest and works amazingly well, i just did garrosh nm today with a 54x ilvl, no mana issues and heal the same as a druid resto 565ilvl
Since I don't like to AFK raids or any thing along those lines other then PVP i typically use RichiesHolyPriest. Work's well. However, not worth paid as it seems to be going out of date with lack of support I've noticed. Though, I am working on a priest routine myself in which I might release to the public when I feel it's good enough.
I have a IL 570 Disc priest that I had manually got up there before finding HB. Since finding HB I have tried out all the priest CR on here and not one of them uses the correct rotation or even spell CDs for disc. I also have a 580 lock that I use millz CR and love it, has tripled the dps out put. I used millz shadow CR for my priest and that is top notch just like the lock one. I don't know if I am out of line but millz knows how to set up a CR period. I would try my hand at making the CR profile myself but I have 0.00% understanding of how and not even finding good tutorials that ACTUALLY explain what is what and why. Id hate to say but if you want to ACTUALLY do well or even good as disc in anything then just manually play. I can not say for holy as I will NEVER play that spec ever again.
with Holy Priest my best experience has been Singular. To be fair i have not taken the time to tweak Oracle.
Yeah King WoW is pretty darn good for disc priest. Takes a little bit to tweak it to how you want it, but not much at all. Also, Divine Star is much less mana hogging than anything else ... my mana issues promptly lessened switching to that. (and my healing numbers went up significantly)
Still seems to chew up mana quit a bit with divine star. Im gonna work on her spirit a bit and do what was mentioned earlier about getting the trink. I think that may help a bit.
