So, I got banned for botting 2 days ago. All 5 of my accounts were hit at the same time for Abuse of the Economy.
The fun thing is that I never traded items or gold to others. I did trade no more than 5k gold from 2 of my accounts to a other account of mine but other than that I did not trade at all.
So I dont really get it why I am banned for Abuse of the Economy instead of botting.

But yea I send Blizzard an email if they can look into my account again and if they can unlock it.
      I recieved this mail:

Thanks for getting in touch with us, I'm Game Master Faroufekks and I've read your ticket about your account issue.

Having checked into your account, to be able to look into this further for you we still need to verify your ownership with photo ID.

To do that please reply to this ticket and provide the following information in the form of a text document file (e.g. a Notepad or Word document), as an attachment to your reply:

      - Battle.net Account Name: The account name (email address) you are using to login.
      - Name: the full name that the account was created with.
      - A scan or digital image of nationally recognised photo ID, such as passport or drivers license (please do not include public transport cards, library cards etc, as these are unsuitable for our needs).

Now I dont get it, why would they want some sort of ID? Im only trying to get my account unbanned, it's not that I'm trying to change any information on my account.
      I find it very strange.

Would you guys send them any sort of ID?
And what should I do if they ask me for ID on my other 4 accounts?

Your best bet is to apply to their wishes, comply and they are really helpful mostly. He hasn't given you a definite 'no' on the subject so there's quite the chance he will unban you. He must and will have a reason to ask!

Well no not all of us do it, I do it I don't mind, they can match em up through my IP address as well, not into the whole VPN thing. But then there's no hope ;)

Alright but if I do this the names wont match with the names I signed up with on Battlenet. Does this matter?
And what about my 4 other accounts, if they ask for my ID again should I send them the same?

Thanks everyone for the reply :)

I have had this happen to me too..not that I would suggest you doing what I did, but this is my experience.
I had 3 account banned, all with the same name.. "not mine"
I made a photo copy of my real ID and scanned it to my computer. used photo shop to change the name on the ID to match the ID of the game account.

this is how I got my accounts back... some people willing to go that far, some people not so much...

That's actually pretty smart! To bad I have never ever worked with Photoshop, maybe it's time to learn it haha.

also, make sure after you print it out, to make a copy of it from a xerox copier to distort it a little.. then send that in.
