[PAID] [Warlock] Demonic - An Advanced Honorbuddy Warlock Routine [PvE/PvP]

Hey there, running the paid version of this and I have noticed it is not using Chaos Bolt as much as it should (hitting cap and still casting incin).
Is this just due to the lack of time Millz has had to work on it?

I'm completely snowed under now. I'm out of town but been on my laptop trying to reply to PMs and messages but need to log off again now. I'll push a quick build now to remove some bad code, and will try to catch up on more messages as soon as I can.

For me i have test 3 spec today and i have a lot of pause in my rotation with demonic. I have a better dps with singular atm.

Hello Millz.

Everytime i put your routine in Honorbuddy my HB keeps on crashing ( its not from the BuddyStore ), and i tried making a whole new clean install just to see if that was the cause of the crashing, but it didnt help

I just tried Demo and found the same bug as Superman93. I have the log attached.

I tested Demonolgy today, and it seems that my warlock casts only when he is at a far distance from his target (on close distance it does not cast at all). By "far", I mean considerably far. As soon as I move closer, casting stops, and when moving far from target, it starts casting again when I am at a specific distance (don't know how to calculate the distance though).

After investigating further and looking at the log file, it seemed that Shadowfury is producing lots of errors. I changed my shadowfury talent to Mortal coil and now it is working fine with no distance issues.

Hope this help you guys, and make Millz troubleshooting a bit easier.

Bye-bye Demo OPness. With these changes, affliction and demo will probably be fairly close until WoD. Until I see the changes in action, I won't be able to tell whether or not I could reasonably recommend Demo as the best spec.

Also, Millz... excellent work bud. Thank you for working hard to push out something useable so quickly.

I've had a lot of the same issues other's have had with demo: casting Metamorphosis(id:103598) whenever it wants apparently (at least not doing it very intelligently), applying doom to low-level creatures despite increasing dot setting to 100k, inordinate pooling of Molten Core(id:122351) procs without casting Soul Fire(id:6353). The Metamorphosis change is probably understandable since how we switch to it has changed a little. Doom needs to be applied as quickly as possible in a fight even if you only have ~250 fury, can't really afford the luxury of waiting for your fury to pool up before switching so it probably doesn't make sense to have limit settings for switching to Metamorphosis (the old 900 in, 450 out). It would make more sense to switch based on procs only, and have a setting (or something hard coded) to make sure you don't ever cap fury. Soul Fire needs to be preferably casted while in Demon Form because of the % boost to damage. A lot of the time Demonic will seem to just hop into Demon Form in order to spam Shadow Bolt and completely ignore pooled Molten Core procs. Hand of Guldan seems to cast very well, although sometimes it doesn't effectively stack the dots. Most of the time it does though so not a huge issue.

I ran a Heroic SoO last night for giggles. You can have my log to see if any of the things I mentioned are apparent.

I have noticed this as well. Even when i set embers to 2.5 im not launching as much it should. I think I'm only getting proc CB casts.

----- just lock, mage and warrior have reduced damage. all other have Increased damage and a couple went from 25% to 80-85% increase with a couple of abilities. and blizz calls this bull ( Class Balancing ).
Might just be me but I should have never bought the upgrade and just stopped playing wow, move on to another game. Too bad ya cannot get refund from blizz.

 

Mine was doing this yestrerday (had it set to 2) as well as a few other things but I either changed something or its just fixed it self =\

The only Problems I can see is it's not using shadowburn as much as it could, only used it once in last bg, I had to use it other times.
Since the changes to warriors it now roots (not seen 1 take the stun talent) the cr thinks theres an incoming stun so cancels the cast when it no longer needs to.
I'm not sure if it was down to the cr wanting to fake cast but it would start to cast incinerate, stop start stop start, while i was targeting the FC, it only happened one time so may of been the game itself?

Please take the current "tuning pass" that Blizzard is doing with a grain of salt. While they brought most specs together and screwed over Demonology, I suspect they'll buff the spec and Affliction again a little bit before or during the first few weeks of Warlords.

Currently though, with the new changes to Demonology and the 10% nerf to Affliction, it looks like Affliction/Destruction is once again the way to go for the time being. Affliction for single-target and Destruction for Cleave/AoE. Demonology currently lagging behind ~5k DPS in comparison to Destruction.

Again, this is very much still beta and anything can and probably will change until WoD is released. (And maybe some time into T17)

 

2 Problems :
1. Still cast Incinerate for way to long
2. When in burst modes it doesnt cast Chaosbolts till 0 embers - it still uses the limit set in settings, even tho it says it wont.

 

Don't have a log when but I target anyone, or anything, even an NPC or auctioneer, it will cast all my cooldowns. Other than that affliction is topping the charts again, doing almost double anyone else in bg's
