Anyone else xfering or already playing on the new oceanic servers located in Sydney? I'm getting 3ms, that's awesome. I used to get anywhere between 150-300 on the US servers.

Are you living in the basement of the damn datacentre :) In Brisbane I am seeing around 40ms, i'm sure it is all in my head but even jumping around like an idiot feels heaps more responsive now.

I'm in Sydney on the nbn, so having fibre from me to the dc probably helps, haha

I'm on Telstra Cable, Doesn't really matter what you are on as the distance is the same, I guess changing ISP could help as they do different routes to places.

Anyone tested raiding with it yet? as i assume we are still in the US battlegroups..does our ping go back to 150+ when we zone into a raid?

It will only go back to US Ping if it can not find anyone on Oceanic servers.

I think this goes for BGs and arena as well.

7ms on Telstra Cable in Sydney... I believe the servers are in Pyrmont, Sydney. That's where the LoL servers (and quite a lot of other data centres) are, and when I played from work in Pyrmont I got down to 4ms

EDIT: Raids/instance servers are also in Sydney. But ping might be higher due to so many people on the same instance server (I saw around 20-30ms). You will only go back to US ping if you group with people from a US server, or if you are put into a BG hosted in America which will only happen if WoW can't find a BG hosted in Australia (This also applies for arenas).
