YouTube Channel Ideas

So, as many of you may already know I made an official GatherBuddy video (Check in the sig). Next I am planning on doing a setup for GatherBuddy / HonorBuddy a full run-through of where to download once purchased etc. Then I want to do either a bunch of videos of all the different starting zones on all the classes to show how they run 1-10 or do one class and put together all different videos....One for 1-10 then level it all the way to 60, then do a video of the bot leveling from 60-61, all sped up of course then one 69-70 79-80 and so on just to show how it does everything in all zones. What do you guys think of this idea? Let me know...also if you have any ideas that might be helpful then post it below or PM me. Just trying to think of ways to show people what they're paying for. Also i'd do a video for PvP of course and InstanceBuddy and stuff.

You should discuss any other ideas you have for videos...what do you guys want to see on the youtube, what do you think will make people want to buy the product

 

How about a video showing how much herb/ores you've gotten through X hours of farming with gatherbuddy, with a bit of explaining.. That might be interesting for new buyers.

 

Does nobody else see how this kind of attention is begging blizzard to wtf glider pwn hb/gb?

Am I the only one that thinks this?



*edit* what about you making videos the same as you would for youtube and let bossland host them and put them in the new buyers section of the forums. At least this way the videos are still accessable, yes blizzard will still be able to see them but its not like the videos are being broadcast on major cable television like they are by using youtube.

*second edit* Back to your original post on topics for videos, I think a video on class macros for EACH class and where to place them would be good for GB. Example would be how to setup a druid on all the hotbars etc. Another idea would be how to put in a blackspot, say in HB there is one place that looks bottish, show users how to fix that one spot. Show users how to add in a plugin for HB. Show mrfishit and some other very popular plugins and how to set them up. The ideas are endless if you think from a potential buyers point of view. I would approach the videos like you did with the first and explain like you are talking to a complete HB/GB noob. Your first video was good at showing in depth how to get things setup and what every option was.

Oh on that topic of your last video.. you might want to black out EVERY toons name not just yours. Seeing that you are a ne priest and there were some other people there with names showing, they might see it and figure out who you are.

 

yes you are the only one. hb/gb is located in germany, blizz can't do the same thing they did to glider due to different laws over there.

 

My last thread got flamed about this too. Once again there are already Honorbuddy/Gatherbuddy videos on youtube, I will remove if bossland tells me too.

So the EU eula doesnt apply and cant be taken into court just like the US eula was? anyways blizzard doesnt have to take hb/gb to court to wtf pwn it. All they have to do is make it a point to stomp it out. Given enough attention blizzard WILL stomp it out. I think a good alternative is to have bossland host the videos. I like the video Idea, just not the youtube idea.

 

didn't say it doesn't "apply". i said they're governed by different laws that gives HB MUCH more leeway on their end, and in effect, takes away the method they used to destroy glider. remember, you said to "glider pwn" it. i'd take that as, sue them into oblivion. you know, what they did to glider. then you broadened it up to make your argument seem still plausible.

 

not trying to argue with you, they didnt just sue glider into oblivion.. how many people lost mass numbers of accounts with glider? most of the people I know that used glider lost their accounts along the way.

 

tons and tons and tons of people didn't loose any accounts from glider, i never lost an account til i started using hb tbh... people have lost masses of accounts using any/all of the bots. people loosing accounts didn't do glider in. the injunction and multi-million dollar lawsuit did glider in.. hell the glider community is still there and would be just as popular if gliding were still an option.

 

WHY on earth would you want more publicity to hb/gb?

Another good idea for a video with GB is how to check logs and to show the math on figuring out if the spot you are botting is actually a good spot or not.

The GB auto crafting for smelting saronite ore into bars feature would be cool to show as well

posting tons of videos on youtube of hb/gb in action draws too many attention. all the noobs can see how a bot moves and what it is capable of, so there will be much more reporting.

 

So.. what is the point of putting your time into this?

You are saying that you will take down the videos if Boss tells you so, but clearly you are not listening to some people that are part of HB community.

Are you doing this so that HB community will prosper (quite ironic..)?

Why do you want to advertise HB/GB? Do you really think this is necessary?

If person really wants a bot, they will find gather/honorbuddy. Type gathering bot in Google and gatherbuddy is on the top of the list.
I believe we don't need more attention than that because like I stated -> A person will find honorbuddy if they desire gather bot.

Make a how-to-setup videos or some sort that will actually HELP the community whether than making Official buddy Channel on Youtube broadcasting the bot that some of us do not like to see. But I guess you never know what will come out of this.. gl =)
