So I was curious on everyones opinion about this, Do you think its safe to bot right now? i only bot during raids(Combat rotation) So I believe Im safe from really any ban waves etc, as I don't bot more then 12 hours a week, and like i said its only my combat rotation that I bot, So I can easily focus more on everything else. Granted I don't even need the combat rotation, as I was still ranking on fights before I even switched to using it. So I could always go back to just doing it my self till its deemed safe. The reason I'm making this thread is Im hearing alot of people get banned lately since patch 6.0.2, Wanna know what general thought is.
If you only bot combat routines during raids you're fine, been using during this latest banwave quite heavily and I haven't been hit yet. Nor has any of my friends who also use it. I would be wary of using any kind of AFK botting right now, as it seems Blizzard is going apeshit on peoples fully automated stuff.
Is it ever safe to bot? No. You bot at your own risk so don't bot at all or don't bot on anything you fear losing. As for Lipstick and the term "banwave"... this is not a banwave. Too many newish botters throwing that term out there, it should be a bad word on the forums until such a time an actual banwave takes place. The bans you are currently seeing are just detection via server side scripts due to how repetitive some of the botters are and the amount of hours they are doing it for.
Well, mini-banwave, then? A lot more bans than normal during a short period of time to me implies some sort of extra effort to catch bots. Anyway, that's not what the OP asked about. Is it safe to bot? Like above person says; Never. But what you're currently using the bot for is as safe as it gets.
I have never had any problem botting when only using Tyrael/Enyo, if you only use the bot for combat routines, meaning you don't do any kind of AFK botting or farming of any sorts you are pretty much safe. Only way for you to get caught at this point would be if WARDEN gets updated and it actually manages to scan Honorbuddy, but I don't think that has ever happened before? Honorbuddy got it's tripwire protection booting you the instant it detects anything fishy going on from Blizzards part. I've had several temporarily bans on several accounts, and one permanent ban and they've all come as a result of overdoing AFK botting and whatnot, making it quite obvious on Blizzards part that I'm botting as my characters have been only for a tremendous amount of time each day for weeks and I guess several players might have reported me during dungeons and LFRs etc.. I would consider using Enyo while playing yourself is as safe as it can get.
