Hey. I was thinking about a badnodes button on GB. Just like the crafting one. so if u se a badnode surrounded with elites you could just click it and it would automaticly list it as manual badnode in the badnodes file. I dont know if it?s possible but sure would be wicked when runnin new routes. Savin time from copy paste.
No.."My position" button gives you the Coords of the toon ingame, and tells you what "objects" surround the toon. A button like he suggested would be nice...
Ok. well i mean it would be wicked with a button that automaticly puts the specific node(lets say its surrounded with 2 lvl 80 elites and u def dont wanna go there) into the badNode.xml file when u press the button. I mean if its duable it would save alot of time when people are running new routes, instead of havin to open the badNode in noteblock and copypaste a line and put in the tracking nr. from the log. Dont think i can put it more specific now. Eanyways was just an idea, and it came from spendin a whole night sorting my bad nodes list. it was completly messed up and not working so had to start over. Was a bit frustrated
This is something people have been asking for for a looong time. I believe Boss/Hawk and crew have been busy with HB but yes - I would KILL for this option!!
also...your original problem was (lets say its surrounded with 2 lvl 80 elites and u def dont wanna go there)....on that basis how about the ability to have some logic that if there is an Elite within say xx yards of the node, then skip it entirely...so perhaps have another field on the GB screen like combat range called "elite avoidance range"... that would fit the bill wouldnt it? that way you wouldnt have to mess about adding more badnodes...
that would work if there wasnt elites every map avalanche in sholazar has them and they are nodes close to them as well so your theory is flawed .. but if they added i would untick it would rather get the node if possible.. but i see the point of the button saves a end user time and headache...
Im suggesting that the field is "Elite Avoidance Range=" so put in a value such as 25 - then if the elite is less than 25 yards from the node skip the node. That way it only ignores the node if the elite is in agro range and the liklihood is that if you try and gather from the node then you will agro the elite...and in my case die! By skipping the node where there is an elite I am saving myself the 10 minutes of rez sickness plus the eventual repair etc...
