Hey, guys i have just purchased the buddy bot, but! my char is too weak atm to clear the underground passage because of all the uniques. Is there a way to skip these uniques, or should i just grind another place?

Also I can't figure out how to use the character selection once the bot logs out. I've tried inputting his name and the number (place) he is in but to no avail.

      Thanks diodry

Till someone more experienced comes along I'll throw you a bone lol! Personally this is what I would do farm mudflats or the coast with some rarity on your character.. Set a nice high chicken hp if you're playing hardcore beyond! But make sure you're able to actually farm without just instantly chickening all the time.. Come back when stash is full equip the new rares hopefully decent ones maybe a new spell or aura and advance.

For advancing if you're not in the mood to self do it try the plugin called QuestPlugin, Act bosses it will struggle with unless you have a nice build!

All of this is just an newbie response really, But hopefully it allows you to enjoy till the big brains come along and tell you the real deal :)

For information about the options available, please checkout the Exilebuddy User's Guide. Section 3, Settings, goes over what's there.

Really low level botting is not recommended unless you already have uniques that make it easy to speed run though, so you don't have to spend so much time in the same area trying to get better gear. If you're starting from nothing and aren't familiar with the game or haven't spent much time with it, I'd strongly suggest playing though Normal first to get a feel for the game and build up some currency/items to start other characters with. Once you get some currency, you should be able to buy low level uniques for about a Chaos each in Standard and those items carry you quite a while. As you get higher up, you'll need real gear or more powerful uniques, but by then you should be well on your way.

You should be aware though, GGG watches low level, new accounts quite extensively, as they do try to find the botters that are coming back from other bans, so mindless botting low levels will most likely get you into trouble if you do it too much. You might want to do some quests by hand and some trading to try and appear less bot like in that case, but everyone has different experiences. Good luck!

Thanks for the replies guys ! since GGG watches out for low levels looks like I'll grind up a couple levels and take it from there. Using monstermanz strategy. Thanks again :D

I dearly hope that you just don't lvl from lvl 10-15 manually and then fire away with the bot. Generally people start botting HC style in the later lvls like around 50-s or 60s. Like grinding bosses, doing maps or grinding certain areas and changing them up every now and then. If you want to bot smart, then combine botting with manual play. Do quests that "masters" give you manually (because the current plugin that (naux was his name, i think, who made it / is making it) is not working). During lvling you might want to open up trade / global chat, talk with people, ask for information. (Because you are a new player and knowing more about the game you are about to bot is allways a good thing). Also it shows that you are a new player asking around questions, about the game, just not a hollow thing that moves around and turns in quests. If you are planning to make money with alts you should pick up "blue" gear from the ground and use wisdoms on then and vendor them. Later on you can use the bot to do the task for you, but you have allready showed GGG a certain pattern what you do. Makes you look a bit more human in a way. While botting / lvling go to forums, find a guild, if that dosen't work out make your own. Make a post that you are looking for new people to play with in the game. Please bear in mind that farming certain areas for long periods of times is quite "risky" to say the least. Because bot allways moves the same way. So you might as well spice it up. Every now and then take a break, talk with people, do trades, just afk or change up your town movement "routine". This is just a small portion of information, there are a lot of things you want to consider while botting. Best of luck
