      Thread title.

      the x64 didn't help and i tried installing the x86 but no install application pops up like the x64 does.

      I'm using windows 7 64-bit

      SOLUTION 11/23/2014 Credit to CodenameG:
      Go to Programs and Features, in your windows Control panel.
      Look for:
      - microsoft .net framework 4 client profile
      - microsoft .net framework 4 extended
      - microsoft .net framework 4.5.1
      - microsoft visual c++ 2010 x86 redistributable
      - microsoft visual c++ 2012 x86 redistributable

      and Uninstall them if they are installed.
      Restart your PC.

      install this
      https://www.thebuddyforum.com/releas...tml#post704565

      and this
      Download Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5.1 (Web Installer) for Windows Vista SP2, Windows 7 SP1, Windows 8, Windows Server 2008 SP2 Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 and Windows Server 2012 from Official Microsoft Download Center

      run both as administrator.
      after the both installs are completed, run windows update. And install all updates for .net & c++
      Then do one last restart.

      I've downloaded that file and tried installing, however no application opens up. However when I open up the x64 version of it, I can install that but that doesn't fix the grey magic

      I did but nothing comes up. I'm really not too sure how this is going to work for me. Will all future HB updates require this redist?

      Always.
      If you are unable to install the C++ redis packages, you need to reinstall windows.

      Like I said, I'm able to install the x64 version but not the x86. If there is another workaround that doesn't require a clean install, I'd like to try that first. Haha

      Would uninstalling all my previous x86 have any effect on being able to open this new x86.exe?
