I've noticed lately that whenever I run Honorbuddy it crashes after 5-10 mins at the most. I have attached a log file. This seems to be an issue other people have also experienced. Something to do with auth server all of a sudden losing connection and shutting down the program. I have no idea how to fix it, I know my connection is fine and have no firewall issues. Anyone found a fix?
[04:07:12.851 Q] Bot stopping! Reason: Auth Session is invalid [04:07:12.851 Q] Session is invalid! invalid sessions usually stem from network issues and loss of connection to our auth servers. make sure your connection is doing fine and its not dropping out or losing connection.
I'm quite certain my internet hasn't been disconnecting because I've been using it whilst the bot is running with no issues, WoW hasn't disconnected or dropped out. Is there anything else I can check or try? I can't run the bot for very long at all before I get that error. I know others have had the problem just not sure how or if anyone has managed to fix it. Thanks.
the packets from wow, and the packets from honorbuddy are taking different routes on the internet. so if your sure its nothing on your end it could be a router or something else thats failing to deliver and causing issues. the only thing i can suggest is to make sure your network and everything you can check is operating fine and not dropping out or getting bogged down.
Not sure what else to try. I'm not getting disconnected from the internet that's for sure. I'm able to login with HB fine and get the bot going for a while and then crashes form this auth error. If anyone else has had this issue and found a solution please help! Really annoying when it tells you your session is invalid when you logged in only a few minutes ago. Any way I can stop it from constantly checking the auth server when I have already logged in?
no, because then theres no point in you logging in at all, and if that was the case then if a tripwire event happened there would be no protection for you since the bot would stay running.
As a follow up I think I may have found the issue. I seem to 'lose connection' whenever I have torrents running through BitComet. When I close this program I don't seem to get any more of these Auth session invalid issues. If anyone else has the problem this could be something worth trying.
