IMO it seems like it would be quite easy for Blizzard to spot GatherBuddy (GB) users.

There is no way to randomize the Z coordinate in the profile. So when a GB botter gets reported by another player, Blizzard runs a simple script to find out how often that reported player returned to a certain height when farming ore or herbs. Unless the GB botter is frequently changing the Height Modifier under Bot Config, then they're going to be returning to the exact same height dozens of times per hour, hundreds of times per day, thousands of times per week, etc. So Blizzard may safely assume that 3rd party software was employed.

Solution: the Randomize Hotspots option should randomize the Z coordinate also. Currently, it does not. Hence, GB is extra dangerous to use.

most obvious problem with this solution can be demonstrated by altering the z coordinate in GB2's settings.

if z coordinate is altered to a significant negative (towards the ground), it becomes much more likely your bot will become stuck in geometry and exhibit very obvious bot-like stuck behavior.

so if you're suggesting randomizing between 1-5 units, then maybe. but it also calls into question whether or not blizz can and/or does run such a detection script in the first place.

Then you just need to explain me how to change the Z-coordinate within Draenor, when no flying is allowed there, hehe ;)

      Now seriously:

      1. The majority of the GB2 accounts do bot in Draenor, low lvl mats are with much less demand nowadays for obvious reasons.

      2. Unless you are very friendly with the Blizzard's backend, I doubt you could explain how Blizzard will keep log of the random coordinates, 11million accounts generate every several seconds in the 3D game world.

      3. It is good to keep botting safe, being human-like etc, but please, do it with sence ...

Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

      Thanks.
