Ive just updated buddywing, removed default combat from the routines folder, and downloaded the lastest version of PureSWTOR into the routines folder. Booted up into the game, started the bot, but my character doesn't move ! Ive tried using it on a Agent and Consular, but both result, the character just stands there ! Is the bot not working ?
PureSwtor does not move your character it only does the combat for you, if you want a questing routine then you need to load something like Fightatjoes which has not been implemented for the new patch yet.
Here's the last 2 log files of when I tried. Both time the bot just stood there, I think one was a agent, the other was a consular.
good catch however looking at the log, there's a null error for your rotation please post the log in the pure thread.
Looks like some object errors are being thrown. Exit the game, delete everything in your CompiledAssembles folder, and restart both the game and the bot. Also, I haven't updated Shadow/KineticCombat yet (although I don't think it's changed much), and I've only done Operative/Concealment for Agents.
So basically Buddywing doesn't actually work at the moment then ? Will the bot actually run a low level profile, quest, and fight ?
Well am using a 1-10 profile, trying to level a new character. The profile worked fine before 3.0 so I guess that's alright. The problem is Default combat gives a error and doesn't run, so therefore ive download pureswtor, put it into the routine folder, delete default combat, deleted compiled assemblies, restarted everything. and the bot starts up but doesn't move !
Ive just tried again, deleteing compiled assemblies before trying, and selected unpure rotation. Loaded the profile, hit start, and exactly the same thing, Standing still doing nothing. This is on a consular.Level 1
No, the bot doesn't work yet, Am trying to use pureswtor, unpure rotation, just to level a new character from 1-10 using one of kicks 1-10 profile, It use to work prior to 3.0 Am guessing the bot still needs to be updated properly ? The log now says something about nav problems. The character just stands still. Has anyone actually got this bot working again since 3.0 ? Actually runs around doing quests ? Using profiles that worked prior to 3.0 ?
Yesterday I got pureswtor rotation working for my 1-10 profile, I guess the problem was the nav server before. Thanks for any help.
It's work some times, i really think this is the proper answer on this question. Just few heroes are helping this bot, despite "TheBuddy" indiference. The BuddyWing is in maintenance mode from years and any question on "Community Developer Forum" section is ignored by buddy developer. My feeling is the bot was developed by some third party group and not even Aevitas knows what is in there, he just update for patches but i dont see any bug fixed or at least some help from him to devs comunity. This will piss off some fanbosy, I'm sorry friends but this is the true, look at honorbuddy framework documentation (not on forum sections, just check Honorbuddy Documentation - Redirect).
The fact that it's in maintenance mode isn't really debatable. They shut down Buddywing in 2012 because it wasn't making enough money. Lots of us were really upset, and pleaded for them to restore it in maintenance mode, so that's what we have now. There are no better bots out there, and our only options are this or shut it down. It's definitely no Honorbuddy, but we can do a lot with it.
I know what you talking alltrueist, but this was like 30 months ago (I think). I agree with you until a certain point. I was arround when that happend with 3 one year licences, i dint ask for bot go in maintenance mode because at that time only ChinaJade was trying to bring some health on this bot. Also this not explain the lack of answer on developers forum. No one who was arround in 2012 espect an instant answers but at least one time per week someone should try to look into the major problems and answer some customers questions, is just "common sense".
Lets be honest, if we would get some love, just one time to fix some stuff, this but would run so much better. We see more and more new people coming here for support, for just dumb bugs (no offence meant to anyone, i know where we are coming from). but c'mon, still no mount support, and the list i wrote so many patches back.
