Put together my new PC yesterday and upon trying to run HB this afternoon I cannot even load the program before I get Authentication Failed. Thought I'd then try and re-install with the installer, but that also gives an error. *edit*Im assuming its a Win8 problem as I can't even copy/paste from the zip file either. *edit2* Fixed the Win8 permissions problem for copy/paste but still getting the issue. Tried installing to a non-os drive and get the error with that one too. Added the log for that as well. "Could not load file or assembly 'GreyMagic.dll' or one of its dependencies. The specified module could not be found." GreyMagic.dll is definitely there though, so im lost as to what the issue is.
remove: - microsoft .net framework 4 client profile - microsoft .net framework 4 extended - microsoft visual c++ 2010 x86 redistributable - microsoft visual c++ 2012 x86 redistributable restart your pc, download the installationwizard https://www.thebuddyforum.com/attach...uddywizard-zip run them as administrator. after wizard installation is done, run windows update. And install all updates for .net & c++ restart
Solved following those steps, cheers! For anyone else that has the same problem, the .Net and C++ redist weren't listed for uninstall, used these 2 programs to get rid: dotnetfx 5f00_cleanup_5f00_tool (.Net Framework) Microsoft Fixit (C++ - one listed as VCRT and the other as "No name available")
