Hey there, first post since joining and figured I'd share my first profile too. Its just a very basic profile that farms the Eternal Protectors and other mobs around the Ruins of Ammon in Uldum. It hasnt got any vendors or mail options as the nearest place is Schnottz's Landing and I'm out of phase with everything there now. Have been running this profile for a few hours with any hassle. All the mobs are 83 I think and in all the time I was watching I never really pulled more than one at a time excpet for if the respawned straight away which seems to happen quite often in cata. Hope it works as well for everyone else. Edit: Okay so back to my main pc now so here's a bit more of a post. As I've already said its mostly grinds Eternal Protectors and Furious Specters both of which have slightly mroe than 50% chance of dropping 1-2 cloth according to wowhead. Had it running last night for an hour or so and got in the region of 5-6 stacks of cloth, cant remember the exact figure as I was making bolts as I was going along. From what I can tell this seems to be one of the better places to grind the cloth as there are plenty mobs that are easily killed and because its a quest zone there are people coming and going a lot so wont think much of somebody just running around repeatedly.
I will not destroy your first post, but in fact i already did one! =) What areas are it covering - MAP? - And i'll check this one out, i bet its better than mine, only used 10 mins on mine!
I'll update with map and a bit more information later on today. Just made and ran it last night from my laptop and decided it looked like I was getting a good amount of cloth to make it worthy of sharing . Is your profile the one for Schnottz's Landing? If it is the reason I made this is mostly for the people (like myself) who have quested past that area and the mobs are now phased out .
Know how much Embersilk per hour it gives? Cloth seems to be a little rare atm, compared to frostweave
Mine is not moving around at all. There are no errors, there is just no activity. EDIT: Nevermind. There were a couple of spots that the profile just wouldn't activate at, but i started it from the west side and it works fine. Trying it out now while I sleep.
Just a suggestion but I would not leave it on overnight as it is a new profile and not tested thoroughly
Did one of these myself. Unfortunatelly that area kind of sucks. Run it for a few hours and only got like 6 stacks of cloth.
I know the amounts can differ and sometimes aren't excatly spectacular but so far this is the best place I've found and at least form my testing it seems to run wihtout any troubles. If anyone can suggest a better place I'll happily write a profile. Although this is my first profile and I am pretty new to using HB I'm pretty certain I have enough of an understanding to write most things required .
It was just a nap: Ran it for a few hours Mixed with pvp at the same time. Got 3 stacks of cloth in about 3 hours. Although when I did leave it straight on for about 4 hours I came back and it was still going just fine. Good area as long as your character can handle two mobs sometimes. I'm using an 85 shadowpriest with terrible gear (ilvl 240 @ lvl 85) but doing just fine.
