Hi guys. I've been using MMOMinion for the past 3 months and I'm looking to jump ship since the $10 a month is starting to add up. How would you rate RebornBuddy as a combat routine assister? I primarily use Minion as a combat helper (I manual stuff like DPS CDs, situational abilities like songs/goad, etc) for endgame content and this is probably the one thing I'm most interested in knowing about. I routinely pull 450+ DPS as BRD and 580+ as NIN (ilvl 126 w/ Zodiac bow/ilvl 128 w/ Dreadwyrm daggers) using Minion's profiles with it handling the basic rotation (+ I have it set up to AoE via key toggle) with me handling movement and CDs as a general ballpark.

What about other functions such as click to teleport and permasprint toggle?

Thank you for any info :)

Rebornbuddy is excellent for combat assist. I also use it primarily for that, being a Paladin Tank I manage my own cooldowns but the rotation is kept by the bot. It is also the best bot I've found for things like gathering / grinding / fates. Where it falls short is crafting (non-existent) and automatic questing (though they're working on it). One thing you gotta understand about Rebornbuddy though is that the magic happens with the community that makes plugins / combat routines and post them here on the forums. Out of the box, the combat routine is very basic, not good for anything serious really, but there's some very good routines here on the forums. The plugins can also be important, for example if you want automatic repairing, dodging telegraphed attacks, etc., that comes as plugins.

i've been using combat assist as well and its really good
thou it depends on which combat routine you are using.
there are a few available right now, and you can make your own if you dont like it. i heard kupper bard routine is really good thou
most of the combat routines will sprint whenever you can (i havent used a cr that doesnt sprint).

if you dont like the ones avail right now, you can make your own. you'd have to learn how thou and i assume its not hard considering there are guides and all but i havent tried so i dunno

mastahg recently added sprinting while in sanctuaries to nav move calls.

Besides that my cr doesn't have any other sprinting movement. Don't want to have low energy due to sprinting when you pull something.

If you want some changed/added to a combat routine, please post about it in their thread.

It's hard for a dev to keep up on exactly what each class/job should do.
It's hard to even keep up on exactly what each class/job is doing with you're code, in case bugs accidentally get introduced or a piece of code isn't working right...

The CR's here are pretty good. The ninja profile/s could use a bit of optimization regards to the opener and rotation etc but they are still good. I'm not sure what others get, but at i112 w/HA cleavers i get around 490-510 depending latency with the Ultima routine. I edited out raiton and made it use fuma shuriken instead due to latency. (worse if lag is bad)

I would like to hijack this thread a bit since I wanted to ask a similar question but a more general one. I hope some of you guys can provide me an answer. I've been lurking on the forums quite a bit trying to gather information about Rebornbuddy and its features before I place a lifetime order.. However, what does Rebornbuddy do well in terms of botting? What are the possibilites for me as a casual FFXIV player wishing to perhaps have an easier time as a main Pala i.e. in dungeons? Also, I wish to level more jobs, for example a BRD/NIN and trying to go deeper into the crafting segment of the game, but do not have the time atm. How can Rebornbuddy help me with this? Also, how can I get started in perhaps providing something for the community myself? For example, profiles?

EDIT: Oh, and how is development? What type of things can I expect going forward? Thanks.

RB has a pretty good combat routines. There combat routines for every job here. Please keep in mind that this is still very much in development and only one guy is managing the bot afaik. Crafting is supposed to be the next that is implemented. The combat routines are generally pretty well made. If you were wanting to use a paladin for it, i would personally recommend magitek as it allows you to set when you want to use cooldowns etc and has more options. Combat routine for ninja would have to be ultima (depending on your latency you can edit out raiton from the routine in favor of fuma shuriken for more dps)

I'm also a paladin tank. When playing manually, like doing dungeons or quests, I use it as a combat assist to keep the paladin's 123 rotation for me, I just hate having to spam it. Instead I just focus on cooldowns, positioning, target switching, etc, and don't have to worry about keeping the rotation. It makes tanking much more enjoyable for me personally, same goes as DPS, it can keep your rotation perfectly while you focus on boss mechanics, moving, etc. Is it cheating? Perhaps, but I just don't really like to spam my keyboard to keep my DPS or enmity up. It changes the way you play the game.

As for other stuff, the strengths of Rebornbuddy are grinding fates and gathering. I usually leave it overnight grinding fates in a zone with one of my other classes, and it gets me around 6 levels or so once you're 30+. I like the endgame, but not leveling with every class, plus I don't have the time due to work. I also leave it AFK some nights to gather crystals and then sell them, this is how I make my gil basically. If you've ever thought about buying gil, just by the bot and leave it during the night gathering. It's like an endless fountain of gil if you do it right.

But do be warned, Rebornbuddy's strength is in the community and the Combat Routines / Plugins / BotBases that other people make and put on these forums. Out of the box, the combat routine is not that good. If you do buy it, I'd recommend this:

      1. Download Ultima combat routine: https://www.thebuddyforum.com/rebor...es/189786-ultima-ultimate-combat-routine.html
      2. Download the ExCombatAssist botbase: https://www.thebuddyforum.com/rebornbuddy-forum/plugins/169666-botbase-ex-combat-assist.html
      3. Use them both, and go inside a dungeon to test it out. Things like Flash, Provoke, target switching and defensive cooldowns you do manually, but everything else will be done by the bot. Not having to spam Fast => Savage => Halone every second of my waking life is a blessing to me.

Thanks guys for all of your help! I paid for a 3 day trial period to test it out! Tonight I've leveled my Archer from 22 to 26 using the Fatebot+AutoFateLeveler as well as tried the Ex combat assist inside a dungeon! I've been playing around a bit with the combat routines, and I must say that Kupper and Ultima are working perfectly! Everything was really easy to set up, after this I will try some mining and see how that goes! But as of now I really like the bot, and can't wait to see the crafting features which are currently being worked on.

Glad to hear you decided to at least try it out :) In terms of combat routines and community, i much prefer this bot over another bot out there. Feel free to let us know if you run into any difficulties and someone will help you :)

I want to add, I am a casual gamer and an even more casual botter. While I would like to see a few more things added to the bot, there is a ton of content for this bot and I can't even use all that already exists. The reality is that None of us likes or enjoys the grind sections of a MMOs. This bot is super easy to set up and tweak to take care of all of your grinding needs so that your in game at the keyboard time can be spent on doing the things you enjoy doing in game. Chatting, questing, high level content, etc.
