As the title states, I'm curious how you guys are using HB to make gold in WoD. I see people claiming to make ridiculous amounts, like 50k a day, but yet see no proof on the claim. Again just curious as to what everyone is up to with gold making nowadays.
Haha, yeah I've seen something about a bug in it? Have no clue even what it is. Just see it referred to as the "Stonecore bug."
It is against the forum rules to talk about hacks/bugs/exploits...just purely automation. Making gold can be done a number of ways, just check the profiles section and see for yourself. Gather / Grind / AH / Sell / profit
Yeah wasn't asking how it's done, still trying to just stay with the topic of how everyone else is making gold. That did give me the explanation of why I only see it referred to and not explained. Thanks man!
Okay, I'm no noob to Google, just figured I would ask the Honorbuddy community. Guess I asked the wrong question. Haha, I've learned my lesson.
It all comes down to trial and error buddy, no pain no gain, no one in this forum will share with you their golden egg methods, while some might give you an idea of what to do most will just troll the crap out of you. If you use google with "site:https://www.thebuddyforum.com/honorbuddy-forum/" to the query you can find so many good things, profiles, other several threads about gold making, a guide on gold making tips and so forth....
i spent months cruising website forums, listening to podcasts, reading guides, researching addons, just to learn how to make gold on wow. i was broke and didnt want to be broke anymore. it took me a long time to get a strategy that fit my playstyle. i made tons of gold back when gold had value and gave most of it away before someone turned me onto honorbuddy. honorbuddy enhanced my gold making ability. there is nothing i can tell you about how to make gold that you cannot read on the first page of forum posts. you found the forums, you should have read a little by now.
It also depends on how you are botting.. do you bot on your main account and dont want to lose it? Than you have to bot low profile. Did you create a special bot account, seperate from your main account, than maybe just do some suicide botting. Search for echotigre's optimized goldfarming. I run grimbatol with a guardian druid that only did the trial of WoD. That is strong enough gear to run grim batol on his suicide profile. I was sceptic about it, but although high ban risk also 1000/1100 gph.
Google is your friend 90% of the time. The days of just farming herbs/ores 24/7 for the AH died with the garrisons. You just have to research strategies, look for what's in demand, etc. HB will do what yo want it to do. You just gotta figure out what you want HB to do . I make a pretty good amount of gold for 1 farming account. Admittedly though I don't farm for cash much anymore. Just expensive pretty pixels and epeen nowadays.
Easiest method: find some 100 mobs, create a profile to kill them, kill mobs until an epic drops, sell epic on the AH.
You guys are terrible. He's come to a community to ask for advice. You remember what a community is? How about forum? Back to OP. There are a lot of 'suicide botters' farming instances -namely Stonecore -to varying degrees of success. There are also bot hunters who will regularly /who Stonecore and indiscriminately report serial offenders. The instance farm has become a little accessible because of the level 90 boost (no invested time in levelling) and access to cheap Battlechests. There is also a cheap route to accessing WoD accounts that involve Russian accounts (that are now playable on EU servers). All of this is highly risky (hence suicide botters) but potentially high returns for those who know how to do it quickly. Safe way of earning more gold/hr than suicide bots: 1. TSM. Create a TSM account and get the Addon(s) from their website -and the desktop add to update databases. Optionally you can import data from Wowuction. Now with appropriately configured Groups and Operations for your available professions the in game addon will help you make a lot of gold by showing you what you can make for profit. This works extremely well for Inscription, Engineering and Jewelcrafting *in my experience*. The drawback of TSM is that it takes a few hours, maybe half a day, to setup if you are completely new to the addon. However there are excellent tutorials and copy/paste Groups and Operations that get you up and running. Once configured properly there is essentially a 'Queue everything in my Profession that will make me 'x' profit' button, and TSM will even collate every mat you need (even allowing for banks, gbank and mailbox). I can make 4-21k profit in less than an hour, totally legit, without launching HonorBuddy with this method. Using HonorBuddy: 2. Shuffle / Gather. I was an MoP millionaire -mainly from GatherBuddy2 and AutoAngler2. Now in WoD, with the distribution of gathered mats thru Garrisons the profit on Gathered mats is very low. With lack of flying you're not going to make much gold from Gathering *in my experience*. There is a method in WoW known as 'shuffling', this refers to taking a mat from one profession (say Ore) and processing it with another (say Prospecting) and then crafting the shuffled mat -say into Gems (or Necklaces/Rings and then DE'ing). Again *in my experience* this is not so profitable in WoW. 3. Instance farming. Stonecore and Grim Batol. If done for personal gain (not for days on end), then you can make gold. There are methods of automating, and exploits (not to be discussed here) that make the farms much faster. However even by hand, Grim Batol and others can return a fairly decent yield of Cloth, Gold and possibly DE'd Hypnotic Dust from Green items. 4. Cloth farming. There are places (including instances) around Azeroth and Deepholm -namely Cataclysm zones -that yield significant amounts of Embersilk Cloth and Hypnotic Dust (from DE'd greens). These mats can fetch a decent price on my server. A cloth farm can yield 4k gold an hour, though it can look pretty bottish and as you are out in the open you will be susceptible to bot hunters. I made my own profile for a spot in Twilight Highlands as I would never be seen dead around the locations that the public profiles farmed en masse. However, now may be a good time to go back and cloth farm if your realm has decent prices. Some locations in Northrend (and its instances) also yield Frostweave Cloth -though in my experience its not worth the hassle compared to Cataclysm cloth. Become a WoD millionaire: 5. Sell boosts (Highmaul, Curve and CMs). That is what I gravitated towards, and with Personal Loot systems you can sell them all day. Anyway best of luck, and don't be put off by the scrooges here that shoot you down. The only wrong question is the question unasked! ~G

Maybe because this same question is asked AT LEAST 3 times a week. We are sick of people being lazy. There is google and a search function. If you still cant figure out what to do after them 2 options then botting is not for you.
