Just like the title says, the bot will begin to load for a second then crash suddenly, no warning and it doesnt even create a log. I tried looking in the help section for more information (I ran across this post about uninstalling and reinstalling, no go). What else can I try to do? I have re installed: microsoft .net framework 4 client profile microsoft .net framework 4 extended microsoft visual c++ 2010 x86 redistributable microsoft visual c++ 2012 x86 redistributable Honorbuddy and have also done the DNS stuff with no prevail. AGAIN with no log file, how can I try and fix (or provide more information?)?
I tried the beta version, I got that to at least make a log file... [18:54:19.359 N] Honorbuddy v2.5.12646.701 started. [18:54:19.359 Q] This is a BETA build of Honorbuddy. Christ Tony let me lay it out for you.... I know youre smart enough to read posts but hey everybody makes mistakes, I will even highlight for you...
except we dont support beta builds. at all. give your pc a restart please. clear your log folder and give it another shot.
All I was saying is that the beta is the only thing that created a log file. Just tried again, look no log file.
go to your windows event viewer, and see if theres anything relating to honorbuddy and the crashes. Finding useful crash data and Windows Error Reporting (WER) - Aaron Rykhus - News and info on Office client apps - Site Home - TechNet Blogs there should be something there.
I was reading other posts CodeG and didnt see Windows update update anything prior to my shutdown before all this started happening (last update was Thursday and I ran HB Friday and Saturday after reboot). Checked for runaway processes, nothing. Tried running in DX9 and 11, same. I read through your link about finding crash data, I dont have any signs that it is actually *crashing* per say. It just goes poof (like it minimized)... and before you asked, no it did not minimize. the TM doesn't even see it after it goes poof and my bar is empty (no icons in that area to the lower right ya know).
follow my instructions please, make sure to mind the restarts. Go to Programs and Features, in your windows Control panel. Look for: - microsoft .net framework 4 client profile - microsoft .net framework 4 extended - microsoft .net framework 4.5.x - microsoft visual c++ 2010 x86 redistributable - microsoft visual c++ 2012 x86 redistributable and Uninstall them if they are installed. Restart your PC. install this https://www.thebuddyforum.com/relea...-dependency-wizard-post704565.html#post704565 and this Download Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5.1 (Web Installer) for Windows Vista SP2, Windows 7 SP1, Windows 8, Windows Server 2008 SP2 Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 and Windows Server 2012 from Official Microsoft Download Center run both as administrator. after the both installs are completed, run windows update. And install all updates for .net & c++ Then do one last restart.
