Hello guys, Mail from Blizzard: **Notice of Account Closure*** Account Name: ........... Reason for Closure: Terms of Use Violation -- Exploitative Activity: Abuse of the Economy This account was closed because one or more characters were identified exchanging, or contributing to the exchange of, in-game property (items or gold) for "real-world" currency. This exchange process negatively impacts the World of Warcraft game environment by detracting from the value of the in-game economy. Even if this is the result of account sharing, the account owner can still be held responsible for the penalty because of the impact it had on the game environment. I dont care about farmers but I wanna recover my Main acc - is it possible? If there is any "expert" and he will help me I will donate. My story: Im sure that I got ban because one of my alt 1 month ago was a guild GM with another 5 bots. Never used the same IP on bots and main. The only connection between legal and illegal acc is gold. Thx!
Well, did you always use the same IP for your main or did you have change of IP's over the last 2 months?
This is exactly it. They are now hitting any account that happens to be in the same guild. This is based on US and not EU. Not really sure what EU is doing but I know that when they hit US botting guilds they ban everyone in it.
Well imo, if its first offence on main acc, it may be recovered. But all depends how much gold you sold in you history related to main acc. If its millions and was made for long time, say good bye to it. Bright side, if you lost you acc, you can still make new one on same battle net, and most your achievements and mounts will be still there. Thats all. Gl!
Same thing happened to me. Submit a ticket and say you were hacked (make sure to submit it under the help i was hacked option) and they might unban the account. afaik abuse of economy bans are generally warden bans (autobans). I think your chances are pretty low since the alt was the GM of the guild. But it is still worth a shot. on a side note if you make a new wow acc under the same bnet you wont lose achievements/mounts/pets/etc. the only thing you lose is character specific titles and mounts + the characters and gear also there are unban services that cost around 20$ that I believe have a fairly high success rate if you are looking to contact an "expert" that would be the closest thing you can get.
Actually, the most Abuse of Economy bans are automatic nowadays. Usually hitting people, operating with mass bot-farms. 5 farmers is not so much per computer, but still, maybe they are changing, or something have triggered manual investigation.
I have a guild with an alt from my main account as GM. The guild has 5 active botters at a time, and they are replaced when banned with 5 new. This has been going on for 4 times, summing up to 20 bots banned in the same guild. My main has not been banned however. This is EU. So maybe this is indeed a US only thing, or maybe i should prepare to say good bye to my main.
I used the same process and i got auto banned for abusing economy. 2 Guildies with 8 - 10 botters per guild : 2 alts of my main account were GM of each guild. Don't know what the trigger i pushed but Blizzard has clearly said they won't restore any of my account, saying they have done "big investigations" before taking any decision. Afaic i dont believe in hb process detection like they tell us. I think i was a "bit" newbie with my 50x Ashran Module on the same Ah. (150k gold each Yeah yeah).

My girlfriend bots EU and she has kept her protection accounts when bots have all been banned. US is a different story at least in my experience which is a pretty large sample size.
Lost 1 fresh wod account today aswell for goldselling, what dont happen to me from the time of Wotlk(sell 20k via ah). It feels like blizzard got fucked in the ass by dupers or so nowadays and start ban poor little innocent botters in a blind revenge. p.s. Sorry for bad english.
Flooding AH with anything is kinda noobish, no matter if 150k items, or 150g items. The difference is the amount of rage you could focus on you with these 50x modules, so no big surprise for you being manually investigated. I guess plenty of casuals, who have farmed their single modules by hand were furious about your trade account and filled report against you, indeed. Bot as much as you want, but do it with sense, please.
