I followed CodenameG's directions on installing Download Visual C++ Redistributable Packages for Visual Studio 2013 from Official Microsoft Download Center I picked the x64 version. I installed, restarted, and still doesn't work. It wont even let me put in my HB key. I have been using HB for a few years now. I recently just built a new computer and I'm setting everything up. I am running windows 8.1 now, where as before I was running 7. I hope this helps.
thats the problem, you dont need the x64 you need the x32 version. download and install this. http://download.microsoft.com/download/2/E/6/2E61CFA4-993B-4DD4-91DA-3737CD5CD6E3/vcredist_x86.exe after your done restart your pc.
