To say there is no reason is dishonest, 64 bit wow client runs better than 32 bit. Edit - i don't really care either way. just saying. and the reason the makers of honorbuddy don't care about a 64 bit client is because i bet most of their customers are not people who use lazyraider and raid. They are the people buying 10 bots at a time running them in VM's doing dungeons where performance doesn't matter as long as its above the minimum required.
Guys just because the stereotypical pedophiles vehicle is a van with no windows and tinted windows doesn't mean the police pull them all over and execute them just in case. Click-to-move, people not filling their action bars and using abilities not even present on them, and a number of other things could clue blizzard in to bots as well. Many games run explicitly in 64-bit because they were designed to run only in 64-bit. They didn't start out in 32-bit. The real performance difference is marginal especially on computers a few years old. You can do the comparisons yourself while you wait for HB to come back up Cheers
yes 90% use 64bit but bosslands production is a company so they want to market the large audience and that is 32bit and when they decide to go to 64 they need to rebuild hole HB and I'm not sure but I thought that 32 is more stable then 64
I agree. We have long needed 64bit. A) for security B) for competition with other services that offer it C) for performance. They tout how important account security is to them yet this flies in the face of that. Not to mention they've been made millionaires off our dollar and loyalty you would think they'd want to bring it into this decade for us. Just my pov/2c though I spoke with a Dev on another forum who does work here and it's being discussed presently, whatever that means.
Insider secret. The ones using it as x86 are doing so because we HAVE TO. Raise your hands if your gonna stay x86 when x64 comes out? Yea.... When blizzard drops x86 (and they will) then bossland is gonna get caught with their hand down their pants and lose customers In droves out of necessity if nothing else. The fact they don't think giving more performance and security to the people who made them millionaires is a slap in the face. Microsoft should have just stuck with xp. It was good enough. we all used it. They could have saved some work by not making 7. Did they? Obviously not. They improved because that's what any self respecting company does. It grows with the times. Bar hb ofc.
Bossland might not like this, but there is a reason to make the client: their customers have been asking for it. People running 64bit systems but invoking 32bit clients are very easy for Blizzard to hunt down, and a very large percentage of those people will be people running Honorbuddy. Given I only bot for casual play, nothing automated except DPS rotation (I manually interrupt and move) and nothing related to PVP ... if I'm ever discovered I simply expect this to be the reason why.
Thats not exactly what I tried to show you here. Things are getting saved in memory and as you should know there is a lot of stuff being cached and not cleaned in memory. Due to some Memory leaks as well there is some RAM being used. I laughed about Apoc's comment where he tried to tell us it will take months to reverse stucts and so on for 64bit. https://www.thebuddyforum.com/archi...rbuddy-require-net-4-5-1-a-2.html#post1486761
This as well is wrong because Structs etc. will be the same you just have to get some kind of detection which Version of WoW is running then you could execute either 64 or 32bit compiled version of Honorbuddy. There other patterns and offsets but you still can RE them and just replace those offsets for a 64bit compiled version of Honorbuddy and even if there wouldnt be any performance reason remember:
We pay we say? Like shit, a company flat out refusing to deliver a product that their customers demand over and over again is a pretty shitty thing to do. Of course this is just my opinion.
you're not paying though. You bought a product in the form it was being offered. Now you would like them to re-make the product, but are you willing to buy it again? I doubt it. You're just asking for your dollar to earn more work is all. I don't even disagree - 64 bit would be awesome. But we should all stop pretending like mcdonalds is refusing to serve us french fries here.
All of you shut up and stop complaining and accept what you have even if they make a 64 bit hb you gonna find something else to bitch. About
I'd also pay for an upgrade. I don't leech from developers and frequently donate even when I don't have to. That said, we also paid for HB with the assumption that everything that could be done to prevent detection would be done. And at this point of 64bit adoption, this is becoming a detection issue.
Just to do my part in "adding to the count": I would pay for a 64bit version of HB. No problem there. But, there was a guy in this thread who could NOT have said it better: "there is a reason to make the client: their customers have been asking for it. " That's as simple as it gets. If a guy wants to buy sand in the desert, if you're arguing with him because he doesn't need it, you don't deserve to sell anything. One MAJOR difficulty is to determine what your clients really want, and if they would pay for it. Well, the clients have repeatedly and insistently said that they want this. Some have stated (as I have) that they would pay for it. It has been said that we don't need it, that it wouldn't be much of an upgrade, etc etc. Well, I'd still pay for it, simple as that. That's as perfect a market as one could dream of. You know how to do it, and you know ppl would pay for it. You could also find out how many would pay for it, before simply deciding not to. I would say I'm sorry for bugging the staff with this, but as an entrepreneur myself, I think pointing the company in the direction we feel is right is actually a gift we're giving the HB team. Remember a simple golden rule: A complaint is a gift. And we complain because we care and like HB Otherwise, we'd simply leave
