      Get the same issue it sounds like others are having. When I launched HB today it did an update, but would not log in once completed. Tried killing it and starting it again, same result. Tried rebooting my PC and it did a Microsoft update (8.1) and upon coming back up, same thing. I saw in another thread with the same problem a request to post a log but the most recent log is from yesterday when it was working which I assume will be no help.

      remove:
      - microsoft .net framework 4 client profile
      - microsoft .net framework 4 extended
      - microsoft visual c++ 2010 x86 redistributable
      - microsoft visual c++ 2012 x86 redistributable

      restart your pc,
      download the installationwizard https://www.thebuddyforum.com/attach...uddywizard-zip
      run them as administrator.
      after wizard installation is done, run windows update. And install all updates for .net & c++
      restart

      Sorry to be an idiot, but I can't for the life of me find out how to remove the .net framework 4 client profile/extended. I'm on Windows 8.1 btw. I see the MS .net directory but nothing about client profile or extended (nothing under uninstall programs either) and didn't want to blow away the wrong thing. Any chance you could get real basic for me and explain where I go in Win 8.1 to remove those? Thanks
