I've used honor buddy a few times so I'm a bit curious. How long will Blizzard wait to ban you if they know you have been botting. I've stopped for a bit, so how long until it's safe or is there always a chance they can ban me? even a year down the line?
We don't work for blizzard, you can get general picture https://www.thebuddyforum.com/honorbuddy-forum/ban-section-ban-reports/
My personal understanding is that if you're botting, and then you're caught; them with evidence in hand, they have no reason to wait to ban you. That said I also believe that you could be banned a year after you've stopped, assuming they would have some sort of evidence against you to actually prove it true. But the likelihood of this happening, close to none in my opinion, unless you go asking for trouble.
yes, they can wait to ban you. ive been told directly by a gm that they are not required to ban immediately. no one knows how long they can wait, but it seems doubtful that they would wait a year. ive been banned multiple times the same day i resubbed. one of those times led to the conversation mentioned above. the most suspicious bans ive encountered were ones that happened immediately after logging in and starting HB.
Just curious? How long were you unsubbed for before you resubbed and they banned you, or were you just renewing it monthly?
renewing monthly. i usually have a couple farmers going, clones of my current 'main' account. then when i lose a main, i just add time to an old farm account. then resub as needed only on main accounts.
-blizzard: how the fuck have you been able playing for 72h non stop???? (hmm might be botting) - you (the botter): well a shit load of Amphetamine can make the impossibl possible... end of story as long they havent tryed talking to you at the time etc ----- and when did blizzards rules have a no drug policy..
They can wait a while. They'll usually only do it when you have active game time though. The only time I.was banned, I didn't bot the last few days of my gametime, didn't resub for a week and a half, then resubbed and got.banned a few minutes later
I remember when BC was released and there was a HUGE banwave that happened where over 500k players were banned at once. They've waited in the past, but who knows. Certainly not us. Edit: If I remember right this was Glider?
Well, according to Blizzard's TOS and EULA they don't even have to have a legit reason to ban you. They can ban you even if you haven't done anything wrong. Now they won't do that because they lose money and customers. But under their TOS and EULA that you agreed to when installing the game, they can do whatever they want to your account. Happy Botting!
