The key here to all the anger is communication. Just one line saying still no ETA but we r working hard to resolve the situation, even from a non-tech guy every few hours is reassuring to the community. For example disconnect your HD light on your PC then try to run/install a large program, you'll soon be there wondering, is it working or has it crashed? What do I do? etc. etc. especially on software with no other signs of activity. Without that flashing HD light to 'tell' you don’t worry I’m doing something, things seem to take longer and longer and you begin to panic. the HD light actually serves no real purpose other than to tell you 'look guys don’t worry I’m still here and working for you' likewise a post on the tripwire thread every few hours saying just that 'don’t worry although we haven’t got an ETA we are still working on it' will have the same result and calm a lot of ppl down. I know you guys have much more on your minds than posting on the forum that we have nothing new to say, and yes it is pointless on so many levels, and again YES we all know you guys are working really hard to resolve this tripwire event but honestly look at it from the communities point of view just the fact you take the time and say something will keep the community happy.
Did you not read the update they posted a few hours ago? That state of these forums right now is extremely sad...
I just have to giva a +1 on this one, its all in the psyche, and that would be a real calmer for most of us when we are tense to be able to bot again..?
yea man just post like every 1 hour one liner sentence thats how blizzard calms down their sheep of subscribers
I think the best thing they could do is be upfront about turn around time: They aren't going to do anything until EU servers are patched or updated. If you've been around awhile you know this, for newer people or the less observant perhaps they haven't recognized it. If they came up front and said "We recognize US servers were updated with patch n.1.1.1. After EU servers are updated we will begin looking into the issues" at least you wouldn't have people sitting here refreshing the forums waiting for an update 5 minutes after US downtime.
