Gnjax's RAF Questing

Gnjax's RAF Plugin​

How To :
- Download the plugin at the bottom of the post.
- Unzip the archive in your HB's plugin folder.
- Create a party with your RAF chars in it.
- Start HB with Questing bot and use your favourite leveling profile (Don't forget to activate the plugin). Use the same profile on every char and make sure they own the same quests at this time.
- Enjoy

Features :
- Wait for every char in your party to be in range for exp. bonus before turning-in quests.
- Bypass the '20 seconds' bug that was present on other RAF plugins. The bot can wait for as long as needed without stoping/crashing.
- Wait after turning in a quest if there's an event making the quest giver unavailable. This should prevent your other chars from not being able to turn-in while everyone is in range.

Known Issues :
- The wait after turn in (in case of event) should not work with 3 chars or more.

I like the idea of this, but after trying on my 2 accounts (priest & mage) when I start it I get the message "[RAF Questing] - Waiting for other members" on the mage while the priest just runs off doing his thing.

 

I tested it out and with the plugin enabled it turned in the quest without waiting for my RAF character.

 

my toon is not waiting for the other party members

 

Working great so far, you have to turn the plugin on for both toons to get it to work.

 

Seems that after awhile it'll mess up. Using it on 2 accounts and after a few quest turn ins one of them delays so long with the turning in of quests that the other goes off on the next quest while the other sits there with the message waiting for members to turn in the previous quest.

 

Doh! I think that was my problem. I take back what I said. It's working so far.

 

Seems to work for a bit, then the toons drift apart while 1 stays waiting for quests that the other toon already turned in.

This is 2 toons of same class, started within 5 sec of each other

 

Yea, I've found that you can't AFK this unfortunately. Good Plugin for those who babysit their bots at least. But if you don't watch them one bot will run off before the other one finishes turning in quests and then they are both stuck (with one getting a quest ahead). I disable the plugin when AFK leveling and typically just give up on leveling with the RAF bonus once their quests/levels get too far apart.

It seems to happen two different ways:

- The Quest NPC's have some sort of animation or speech they go through and the first one to turn in will run off and then the second one gets stuck.

- One bot lags behind for random reasons. Different pathing (ranged and melee), grabbing quest item the other already has, different movement abilities speeding up or slowing down (feral druid, blink, stealth), etc. Whatever the case may be one bot will end up ahead waiting at the quest NPC. When the other one gets in range it starts turning in and runs off and if its faster then the second bot gets left behind before it can finish turning in.

 

This would work much better if the toons would wait for 2-3 seconds after turning the quest in. Reloading the profile after waiting for the party members takes some time.

 

Could the range be set much much lower to say something silly like 10-20 yards so your characters are literally together when handing in quests and not 100 yards apart? i would have thought this would make it more likely that both your characters have finished a quest before handing one in. maybe this could help or at least be worth a try

 

The problem with these plugins are that you actually need a way to communicate between the bots. You cant just have delays because the bots will always drift.

However few people have the time and or effort to build a plugin that actually communicates between bots.

 

so do I use questingprofile 1-100 on both characters aswell?

Alright tested this with a few character and it doesnt work well at all.. characters do not follow that much and one get's stuck to return a quest and the other one on another one.. just not working..

 

Ive noticed the same thing while leveling two at the same time. sometimes it waits and sometimes it doesnt, most of the time they go off and do there own quests even if they have the same one.

Any chance of seeing this updated, looks like the last one was over a year ago.

 

Hello friends.
I wasn't there for a while (a year, quite a while), but i'm now in a more stable situation have a work and time to go back into wow and I'd really like to develop for HB now, starting with this plugin as some of you guys really want it updated.
So yeah, there's a good chance you will see an update in no time for this plugin, I already started to rewrite it in a complete different (and more complex) manner, but I expect it to work (almost) flawlessly when I'll be done !
I'll need people to test it and report bugs as I'm not leveling any RAF chars and do not plan to do so, stay tuned !

I've leveled a couple of toons with your plugin and it works(ish) .

The biggest problem I've encountered with the plugin, the way it is now, is the fact that when toon 1 has to wait for toon 2 it changes profile. So by the time the profile has changed back toon 2 is long gone and toon 1 is forces back into waiting..... and waiting...... and waiting.

I'm happy to test it when you've updated the plugin.
