Do you use any profiles/bot bases that print to your game chat? I've been going through all the threads and seems to be common for most, but some profiles i don't use so i can't tell for sure.

The silly part is - this new banning policy is focused towards the casual botters, which do barely bot for gold, but for their own toons. But the hardcore goldfarmers are still running smooth ...

      Cannot say more!

Yea it doesn't make sense to go after the casual botters, we don't really affect the "economy". We're just trying to balance our RL time with game-time and automate some of the really mundane parts of the game (leveling alts, or all the garrison tasks) so when we do game we can do what we enjoy rather than chores.

Nobody is being targeted. People should stop assuming that certain people are being targeted over others. That's nonsensical.

Far more likely is that Blizzard are banning random people based on their "detections". It wouldn't make sense for them to ban EVERY single detected botter - they'd lose a lot of money in the process.

Well my few coins, not getting ban on trade accounts even, playing on eu tho. So all this quite kinky. Bright side now bans r not permanent :) so you know you will come back, and meanwhile can ,ake new accounts.

Looking at the list it's quite large and that's maybe half. I'm sure a lot of random people said "fuck wow" and started playing another game.

Know at least 2 that are now playing neverwinter cause they got banned and didn't care after that

Well, it makes good sense to go for the casual botters at this point. That will separate the herd, who pretends to be pro and who are.

When you think about it, the competition, solidarity and the wow-effect when u succeed in achieving your goal -all these important values are improved, when you take the casual botters. Leaving a greater fear of botting due the improved ban-rate AND also make their game more Legit. The Economy have been ruined for a long time while they chased gold-farmers, maybe they realized it's not the farmers killing it rather stabilizing it, now they need their focus is on users for a period of time to ensure their growing E-sports will not be a failure. -Participating players Can't be cheating, especially not the best ones, that'll end Bilzzards vision before it starts.
