so i have been monitoring the ban thread to try and see if i can figure out when i it safe to start running the bot on my main account. i have not stopped on my 2 farm accounts they have been running strong the whole time but i do not want to risk doing a lot on my main account until the bans let up but there has not been any new bans on the thread since this morning so has blizzard done all that they are going to do or is it just that everyone is not botting in fear of the ban

The same old rule as always, just don't bot on an account you can't afford to lose, seriously. I'd never ever use HB (no CR, nothing) on my main account, so if you are worried, don't use it. Yes, they are currently targeting more bots since the WoW token is coming out and the US is first. EU bans will probably go out soon once the WoW token will come out here. Has botting become more difficult within the last few months/year? Yes, but that's just the way it goes. It's a constant cat versus mouse game and nobody will probably ever win over one another until the servers will shutdown. Just don't bot if you don't want to lose your account, simple as that, really.

I doubt they only target the bot account. Some have lost their main accounts and not their bot accounts, they just ban whatever hell they want :)

Well, they won't just shut your main account down for no reason, if you never used a bot on that account+PC, that would be nuts and is not true. If people get their main account shut down allthough they haven't used HB on their main accont, then it's because their botting account is linked to their main account. Things like same Ip, same payment method, RAF, same HWID of your PC and so and so force are all things you have to consider. I personally always use a proxy and have one extra PC where I do run my botting account, HB is not even installed on my normal gaming PC were I play with my main account. This doesn't make my botting account safe of course, but it dramatically increases the protection of my main account because it doesn't have a "direct" link to my main.

So yeah, statement still stands, don't bot on an account you can't afford to lose.

That is just wrong. They will shut your main account in a non botting machine with no Hb installed, different HWID, no raf, different payment method, different pc. Just because they can. They could have done that because of gold trading involvement, right. (In my case, the link was that my main account had ALTS in botting guilds. Yeah, that much)

But again, they can and will use their choice to ban whatever they feel like. The right statement should be "don't bot if you have accounts you can't afford to lose".

You can get banned in your main account even when never having used a bot with it. That's what "abuse of the economy" bans were meant for. That concept pretty much allows them to do anything to any account.
