Heya, I made a quick search on the forums for this and am just getting some input from the more experienced users here. I plan on playing a toon manually and having a bot toon follow along and dps/heal with my manually played toon. I have looked at RAF mode and Combat assist mode, but each require me to have a profile loaded. My main question is: is there a pre-made profile for just this? Or do I need to create a profile as I go and just add the faction IDs? Looking for any experience on this topic. Thanks in advance
You just load any profile. It does not matter since it dosnt actually use it, so just load a random profile that would otherwise work for you level. It will follow you like expected. FYI RAF it attack as soon as the leader targets something. Im trying to get this changed or atleast an option to make it so it only attacks when the leader attacks but no one seems to be listening/care. and Combat assist will follow you around, but you have to throw the first punch on the bot character before it will start attacking, making it kind of a pain to use as well. If you want to use one use RAF, lesser of 2 evils I guess
Yea I wish it wouldn't attack when the leader targets something. I can use RAF mode in instances but it will attack soon as the tank targets and then they yell at me lol. Well hope you can get that changed. RAF mode is good idea but sure doesn't work that good. I think it be nice if you could load same grinding profiles and if the follower got to far away it would switch to grind mode until it got close enough to your other character instead of just sitting there.
No it does not pick up quests, RAF has no quest logic, but that part never bothered me at all. As far as the instance issue people are yelling at you about, you can get a plugin called Set the Leader (I think is the name) where you can manually tell it who to follow, and just set it to you, that way it will only attack when YOU target, not the tank.. Glad to see im not the only one who hates the whole attack on target thing. But I have yet to get any kind of response from anyone who can do something about it.
