I'm putting this in this category because I wouldn't know where else to put it. Not a complaint to be fixed or anything like that. I'd just like to find out if there is a way to keep my toon from using a mount. Nothing says red flag bot when you mount and before you take two steps, you're attacking a critter, kill it and take two steps before attacking another critter and so on. I'd prefer to run from quest to quest or stop and load my mount than give off that sort of red flag. I did find where the mount was listed in one of the xml's a long time back and removed it. As soon as I started the toon up again, I'm on a mount. Like I said, no major complaint. I just don't want to send out signals that I'm using HB.
Pretty sure you can set which mounts you use with Singular, and I believe one of the options might be none. You could also change the distance for mounting (I think the default is 60 yards) to something a lot higher to avoid mounting for anything but the longest of travels.
if your using a questing profile like kicks, make sure you have kill between hot spots disabled (so he will ignore the npc´s you encounter when your on a mount from a to b) and you can set a ground on flying mount in honor buddy settings & tools (i.e. azure water strider) + mount distance (the requiered distance when it will start mounting (i.e. if its set to 60y and your the way to your next point is just 40y it won´t mount)
I set the mount distance far and turn off kill between hotspots. I don't really quest bot anymore though. Even with the optimal settings, the bot still does bot stuff and I think its pretty easy to spot. Like attacking a lot of unneeded mobs (in the hotspot), or riding to a quest giver only to dismount and instantly go after the train of mobs that are about to evade.
So does anyone know when Honorbuddy will be available again? And what about our honorbuddy time, we will be wasting that time.... Someone please, someone who has the answers
Wrong question in totally wrong topic: https://www.thebuddyforum.com/honor...-update-status-patch-6-1-2-build-19831-a.html
I tried to add the distance, but I think the killer for me was the kill between spots. That is where I made my big mistake. I figured I'd want to kill between spots so I didn't have to run to the next one before turning around and starting the kill. I appreciate your input and will make the changes you suggest. I bow to you and step back.....salami, salami, baloney. You are most gracious.
No Mount is better when you are using a specific profile with a specific pathway that you know you may get stuck if your radius of effect is bigger.
