So I got one of the abuse of economy bans last month (or whenever.) I didn't sell gold, nor did I really gain any gold in the last 3 months. I do however have like 1.5m gold spread over several characters/guild bank. What are the odds it's there when I return? Or will they take it? Edit: Are they letting some people off with 72 hours on appeal? Bastards. I appealed and the ban stuck <_< must be bad luck.
What was your ban history like before this most recent one? If no gold selling is involved usually that means that Warden matched something in your current setup to your prior setup that got banned priory in many cases. I would be surprised if they didn't wipe the GB and your toons honestly but you could always check the site to see if the guild was disbanded or not and if your guy was the GM still of the guild.
Well hopefully they don't take it, wasn't sure since on previous accounts I never had a ban that said it was for abuse of economy.
Wasn't the same payment method by chance as a prior account that got banned was it? I only ask because they've been known to flag accounts for monitoring by payment method before if say an account that used that same payment method was banned priory.
No, the side accounts I ran were through paypal and my main one I used a CC. It's unfortunate that it's my main account, but I can't be arsed to do several of the things by hand. I would suppose if it gets banned again it would be permanent, but fuck it.
Yea the majority was earned at xpac releases, so it wasn't awful to earn, but I don't want to do it again
Grinding Stuff I take it? Bliz has probably been monitoring you a while from player report(s) from then
Some of it was grinding, but I tried to make sure it wasn't for huge periods and monitored it quite regularly while I was doing work stuffs. The guild bank has like 300k in it. I could live with that.
