that file is complete and when I tried to upload it the forum told me it was an invalid file, I'm unclear about WHY it was an invalid file - it's simply a .txt file, once I zipped it the forum accepted it - it's only a 980k log file. edit: apparently there is no .txt on file in the zip... please append .txt to view, or I can upload the file again with a .txt extension when i get home.
check your anti-virus that its not removing or blocking access to honorbuddy files. reDownload the latest version of honorbuddy. http://updates.buddyauth.com/GetNewest?filter=Honorbuddy Then do a clean install into a new folder. Do not reinstall over a previous installation or move items from the old installation into the new one.
fresh clean install, AV is not blocking files, running as an admin, did not copy any settings. Also, one thing different is that I have deleted the refreshment plugin as I saw you recommend that in one of the threads. Log attached note this is a clean install of wow as well, not a single addon running on this toon exceptions start at line 1171 edit: I want to point out that everything else seems to work for me, dungeonbuddy, enyo/raidboat, other CR's, and garrisonbutler all seem to work fine - it is only questing that seems to have an issue - I don't see many other complaining so I am assuming it is something on my side at this point but I'm out of ideas.
System.Reflection.TargetInvocationException: Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation. ---> System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the path is denied. yea its something on your system. what it looks like is an it cant write to your character settings. try disabling. So I always do a few things when I install, do any of these set of red flags for you? 1. I always always move to a different folder than the default documents folder 2. I point my mesh to a folder on a different drive 3. I rename the executable because I'm paranoid. 4. I run the executable from a shortcut put on my desktop I am going to attempt a default install and leave the default directory location and executable name and see if that changes anything. edit: Okay so clean install, no renaming, I even tried a local profile - same results... I'm stumped... short of doing a clean system install I'm just not sure what could be causing it... It doesn't seem to matter if i use a zip or exe isntall, or where I put it or what I name it, results are the same... ugh.
is it possible this is some .net issue? I had a problem a while back with the curse client that required me to reinstall a .net profile or something, although I can't recall if this happened at the same time... At the time I was doing an honorbuddy update and it complained about a .net error, then curse did as well that say day. edit: More info - This appears to be happening as part of interactwith - If I am just running a quest with a killuntilcomplete objective it does NOT seem to have a problem. I have tried to do a process dump to look for access denied and HB is not complaining about access anywhere, so i'm really stumped...
same behavior. I started this right near where the quest starts, it starts out fine, kills a few mobs, then errors - I believe the error is happening when changing from KUC to interactwith but can't confirm that because the line number isn't listed when the error starts. errors starts at line 779 -XAq
Tony, I always start with fresh settings on a clean install, but I will do it again and upload a new log. The only exception is I copy my garrisonbutler ICE settings over but since that bot is not currently working, I have not copied it for 783 yet.
