I have read on these forums that several have been banned for Real Money Trading in FFXIV. I also noticed that there are plenty of people selling gil. I get spammed all day long from people wanting to sell gil. So, since I like dealing in online currency (just as a hobby - not a business) I decided to find out how they do it without getting their accounts banned. So, I purchased 3-5 million gil from 5 different sellers on my bot account just to see how they do it. All of them, without exception, mailed the gil through the ingame mailbox in increments of 1 million gil at a time. They send me a friend request, I accept, and they mail the gil. I have done this 5 different times over the past few weeks, and I have not received a single notice from SOE.

Wait for the next blanket ban. You'll know more then.

No problem. If I was afraid of losing the account, then I wouldn't be botting. What is the sense in making millions of gil if you never take the risk of selling some of it? :)

Whats the sense of making millions and time if you are going to take a major risk for likely less than you paid for the account?
