      I am having an issue with HB not logging in. I've tried everything I can think of. Used the launcher ..won't get past login. Opened 32-bit wow by hand and then launched HB...won't get past login. Tried a complete uninstall and reinstall...issue persists. Tried running the zip version in place of the installed version. Tried running as various administrative levels...no change.

      The problem started with the last update to hb.

      Any assistance would be great.

      just checking. did you complete delete the entire folder, or just the contents when you did a fresh install?

      and there is a cache in your appdata folder. do a search in your users folder for bossland. it will be near there. only delete the cache file there. leave everything else.

      ive never seen a 2 line log. that is kind of interesting.

      I deleted absolutely everything that I could find relating to HB. To include the Bossland file located at AppData\Local\Bossland.

      Go to Programs and Features, in your windows Control panel.
      Look for:
      - microsoft .net framework 4 client profile
      - microsoft .net framework 4 extended
      - microsoft .net framework 4.5.x
      - microsoft visual c++ 2010 x86 redistributable
      - microsoft visual c++ 2012 x86 redistributable

      and Uninstall them if they are installed.
      Restart your PC.

      install this
      https://www.thebuddyforum.com/relea...-dependency-wizard-post704565.html#post704565

      and this
      Download Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5.1 (Web Installer) for Windows Vista SP2, Windows 7 SP1, Windows 8, Windows Server 2008 SP2 Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 and Windows Server 2012 from Official Microsoft Download Center

      run both as administrator.
      after the both installs are completed, run windows update. And install all updates for .net & c++
      Then do one last restart.

      Well, I have gone through the entirety of the suggested steps. Uninstalled all identified items, restarted, ran the installers as administrator, ran windows update, restarted again.....and the problem persists. Did a fresh install of hb after reinstalling all of the identified items and made sure all linked folders were removed prior to the reinstall. At this point, I am at a loss. The problem did not exist prior to the last update. I'm open to trying something else if you have any suggestions.

      sure. as with the original...it doesn't get past "Logging in...". I've left the last attempt running thinking maybe there is somehow a latency or connection issue but I'm seeing no movement. I have also double and triple checked that I have nothing that is known to interfere with or that is flagging hb in any way.

      I'll give those things a try. As to the key, it's the one I've been using all along. I make sure to hand-jam it with every reinstall just to make sure that there aren't any spacing or clipboard issues.

      Ok. I'm giving up for the night. Went through the additional steps....start up hb and it just sits on "Honorbuddy v2.5.13944.787 started. Logging in..." Again checked to make sure the key was right. It matched what I was typing. It just driving me a bit bonkers at this point. Something somehow changed with that last update and killed me.

      Just windows firewall and msse. All of those were present previously and didn't inhibit the hb from logging in and running fantastically well.
